About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Woot! For once, feeling like the Rouge status means something. Would have been nice if there was also discounted pricing for Rouge’s too though… Got my tickets for me and a friend. Didn’t go to BeautyCon this year, so hopefully this experience will be comparable. Am super excited for Chrissy Teigen and the Bite Beauty room! Parking is going to be a bitch though; I hate downtown LA. May have to do the dreaded park-and-ride on public transit, which is close to torture in LA. Our public transport is a joke…. ::deep breathes:: Think of the makeup…think of the makeup…

let me know how it is! I have way to much going on in October to attend! But I’m curious!

I got my ticket! I went with the Silver (middle) level ticket.

Years ago (when they still had them), I went to the QVC Beauty Bash. Those were a lot of fun, and I hope this will be similar, though not as skewed to the older crowd as QVC is. I’m really looking forward to the swag bag, and OMG Chrissy Tiegen!

My friend and I decided to take the train from San Diego and Uber from the station to forgo dealing with downtown LA traffic and parking.

:-D! Let me know how it goes!!!!!!!!! I’m curious as this is Sephora’s first big event like this! Can’t awit to hear your thoughts!

Maybe excellent for an industry insider/professional: mua, blogger, photographer, retail mgr. But, personally, zero appeal. Lots of self-promotion and crowds, networking to be made on professional and Tinder levels. I’m far too old and out of the loop to GAS about anything social media driven. I find out about the celebs, YT gurus, etc. from their launches, collabs, or serious reviews, rather than the other way around. That said, Chrissy T is adorable, delightful. As is Alyssa Ashley. But, frankly, i’d rather have my overdue colonoscopy than be subjected to a big Con. Only went to one little S rouge open house, and that took some self-persuasion. At this gathering, I’d feel like an awkward gate crasher, who would immediately be marginalized. Now, a lecture on skincare ingredients that leaned scholarly, where you sit down and listened about reef friendly sunscreen…by the MDs that got the grant and did the research….yuh-huh. sephoria sounds like a 3 ring circus with no ringmaster.

umm if i was anywhere near LA I would be there. I will be in vegas that week but I would spend the extra days in LA just to be there for this.

and no i’m not a blogger, youtuber, nothing, just makeup addict.

gahhhh i can’t wait to hear all about this!

I’m really hoping we can take this as confirmation that Charlotte Tilbury is coming to Sephora. I love that CT has free shipping on all purchases, but being able to get my favourite conditioner at the same time would be awesome.

  • Emily

Does this mean that Sephora is going to start to sell Charlotte Tilbury? Never tried any of her line but I’d be more likely to if it were sold at Sephora. Not sure why that is though; it’s not like I never buy through Nordstrom. And, it’s not like I need to consider buying any more high-end makeup!

Sephora has blocked the UK from accessing the US site. They used to ship to the UK but just stopped without any warning. I get not shipping to the UK anymore, but not allowing us to visit the site?!? Wah! It redirects us to Sephora France which sucks cause they don’t have half the brands the US does. I’m going to have to rely on you for my Sephora new product updates. lol.

    • Isabella Muse

WHAT? you’re kidding? The entire site!? That’s stupid! Have you tried via proxy?

      • Chrissy

Yeah, I hear it works via a proxy. It’s just so frustrating. The UK Sephora fans are going to revolt
