Wet n Wild Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon Evokes Game of Thrones

Wet n Wild Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon is a new Fall 2018 makeup collection that evokes a certain Game of Thrones feel to say the least. As a massive fan of Game of Thrones I was all over this display when I happened upon it at the drugstore.

If you head over to Wet n Wild’s website a little teaser pop-up will launch when you visit the site and it reads, “Summer is here but Winter is Coming” but as of yet the collection is not available online so it was pretty shocking to see it in store so soon.

Let’s take a look at the Wet n Wild Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon Makeup Collection.

Needless to say anyone that’s an utter Game of Thrones geek is going to want to get their hands on this collection. Hell even if you don’t like makeup you’re going want to get your hands on this collection. I have hopes like past collections that we’ll see a Wet n Wild Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon Box which will include the entire collection. I have no doubt they’ll do this since this marketing method has worked for them in the past plus collector’s really enjoy having everything all together in one cool box. I think this is especially the case with this collection as it’ll be wildly appealing if it comes housed in a really cool collector’s edition box.

I was impatient and couldn’t wait for that to happen so I did buy a few select pieces from the collection which I will review and feature later today.

The collection comes two colors stories one represents the Fire Dragon which has warm fiery shades and the other represents the Ice Dragon which has cooler shades. Both collections feature their own brush, highlighter, bronzer, liquid lipsticks, and eyeshadows.

I think one of the most appealing aspects of the collection is the Wet n Wild Ice Dragon Mega Glow Highlighting Powder which is available in two shade selections. The first shade is an icy blue called Halo Walkers the second shade is called Winter Falls in LA and it’s a sparkling white with a cool, crisp ice blue undertone. The powders have snowflake design with a small dragon imprint.

For the dragon lovers, you’ll find the Wet n Wild Fire Dragon Coloricon Bronzer more to your taste since these have a larger imprint of a dragon on the powder. These are available in two very warm shades called Queen’s Land and You’re Dragon Me Down.

Next up there are four shades of Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Lipstick in limited edition shades. These come with special edition packaging with the Fire Dragon Lipsticks having a fiery blaze cap and the Ice Dragon ones having a metallic blue cap. There are also four Coloricon Loose Pigments which are also limited edition.

And finally their are four Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Quads to represent each dragon. The Fire Dragon shades are called Fit for a Queen and Dragon’s Scales and the Ice Dragon shades are called The Night’s Quad and Mythcool Creatures.

As you can see there are plenty of nods to Game of Thrones here particularly in the names. Really the collection seems more a focus on Dany rather than anything else Game of Thrones but none the less she’s an important character not to mentioned a beloved one and an empowering woman so why not have some great nods to her in the collection?

All in all, it’s a fantastic collection and quite well done on Wet n Wild’s part! I look forward to sharing more with you on the collection shortly.

As another GOT fan I can see the references, but that show gets so complicated especially with the Giant Whitewalker , how do you destroy something that is not living and its huge (very different from Walking Dead solution) but I digress. I can’t wait to see your swatches about the quality. I’ve been sucked in a lot lately by packaging.

    • Isabella Muse

I hope it isn’t a rushed craptastic ending when they do find a way to defeat the white walkers (giant or otherwise)!

I’m in the small minority who hated the show after season 2. I’m one of those book lovers, even though I’ll probanly be dead before another book is released. However, this is an awesome collection and I can’t wait to see it. Wet n Wild has been busy lately, their horoscope collection launches today online and at Walmart.com too

    • Isabella Muse

They went a good deal away from the books. The idea/concept is the same but a lot changed unfortunately. Lord knows we might all be dead! At least we get the prequel in the Fall. I guess that’s something lol! I’m looking forward the the horoscope collection!

The products themselves look rather blah to me, and I’m past the point of wasting money on mere packaging and names. But for people that love these, I’m happy for them!

I’m really interested in the bronzers and the ‘Mythical Creatures’ eye shadow palette from this collection. I just placed an order at WnW for a bunch of the new Zodiac collection – got 2 highlighters – Air and Earth; 3 of the eyeshadows – Air, Earth and Water; and the loose highlighter – couldn’t pass this one up after LOVING the loose skull collection highlighter and with the Orgasm loose highlighter being such a bust.. Are you going to be checking out this collection??

    • Isabella Muse

I literally just got ordered. Three highlighters, two eyeshadow palettes, one gloss, but didn’t get the highlighter, it looks silvery to me? Is it a peachy shade? Hope I didn’t miss out *biting nails*

      • Janessa

The loose looks more pinky to me. I checked out what vid’s I could find on YouTube to try to get a good idea of the swatch. I hope it’s not silvery…

          • Isabella Muse

sorry, I was talking about something else lol! Disregard! I digress, pink is good ;-D

  • Agona

You know, I lost interest in WnW after they reformulated their Color Icon eyeshadows but this and the Zodiac collection have really piqued my interest.

    • Isabella Muse

They actually have all new displays saying they reformulated but I’m confused if that is recent or they mean the past reformulation!

  • Silvia

Did someone say dragons imprinted on these beauties? I want them! As I’m already loving my hummingbirds on my cheeks! Those turned out so beautiful! I’ll be picking up the bronzer and that eyeshadow with the reds and gold shades! But I want it all! Lol! How fun are these collections from WetnWild! Omg!
Out of stock already on website yesterday.
