Bath & Body Works Is Bringing Back Roses as A Trend

I went to Bath & Body Works yesterday and their launched a new Signature Collection that includes a new rose scent. I know I’m a gourmand freak but I do so love a good rose blend too! If I’m lucky some rose scents go candy-ish on me and they turn a bit sweeter with my body chemistry. I really love when the scent takes that delicious turn.

Bath & Body Works Rose is a modern blend of rose water with jasmine petals and musk but in all honesty after trying it out it smelled all rose to me. Which wasn’t a bad thing at all but I ended up skipping on it since it didn’t feel unique enough a scent for me to indulge in plus I have plenty of other Bath & Body Works goodies to get through.

Oddly enough after my trip to Bath & Body Works I went to Target and all the things at Target were rose. I ran across new Dove rose soap, new Suave rose shampoo, new rose shower gel, seems like everything is coming up roses.

So, can we expect rose to start trending for Fall 2018?

Wouldn’t this be a better release for Spring? I remember when The Body Shop did a beautiful rose launch for Spring that includes a gorgeous limited edition makeup collection. It’s a shame they don’t do such pretty seasonal collections anymore! The Body Shop RoseFlower Blush was one of the items that launched with the collection and it was scented like rose!

What do you think?

Think you’d like to see roses make a come back in the makeup world?

I wouldn’t mind! There’s been plenty of nudes lately. A few bright, fresh pinks and dusky roses would be a refreshing change in the makeup world.

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I love Rose too, but this does seem an odd time of year for this scent!

I love the roses trend but I agree that it would be better suited in spring.

I bought one of the shower gels at B&BW over the weekend but now I will need to get to Target to check out the rose things.

Me too! Rose is lovely but right now? I’m more about pumpkins as I head into September! Target has a slew of new rose stuff. I purchased some suave rose scented shampoo/conditioner! It’s smells so delightful! Don’t typically like sauve but couldn’t resist!

I hate the smell of roses and rose anything. Just never liked it, even from childhood.

The Almond Blossom fragrance, also a part of this “Favorite Bloom” collection, is pretty lovely, too! I liked this more than the Whipped Vanilla & Spice scent that they came out with.

I liked the Almond as well particularly in the candle which was a bit different from the fragrance mist!

Ugh…I’m allergic to roses and cannot stand the smell!!! A huge pass for me!

Yogurtland is introducing strawberry rose flavored frozen yogurt. No thanks.

I love rose anything and I don’t even know why. Desserts made with rosewater are heaven and I love it when my makeup has a slight rose scent. Lol. And the color itself just makes me happy. I don’t wear it very much because it’s such a polarizing scent but a nice fresh rose is divine.
