I Need Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer and Genius Magic Powder

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Liquid Concealer ($32) launched a few days along with her new Genius Magic Powder ($45) and I just need these two items in my life ASAP. I’m always for new concealer as you know and this one looks mighty hydrating although, I must admit I had a rather meh experience with Charlotte’s Mini Miracle Eye Wand Dynamic Duo Lift & Light Reflector.

This formula is available in 16 shade selections and apparently provides full coverage although I have to admit after watching videos it looks more like sheerer coverage but I’ll have to try it myself and decide. It promises to conceal dark circles and imperfections with a fresh second skin finish!

Along with the concealer Charlotte launched Genius Magic Powder in three shade selections. I honestly thought this was a concealer setting powder at first but turns out it’s an all over facial powder with light-diffusing finish to blur the appearance of imperfections. It does contain “silky mica” which creates a “brightening radiance” and that had me a little unsure about my purchase as I don’t want to look like a disco ball! We’ll have to see how it turns out. It is mattifying but also hydrating as it’s infused with Tsubaki and Squalane oil.

Has anyone tried either of these products yet?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. No. IDK if I dare try it. Her colors run so warm. Her face and eye products seem suitable for those who favor warm pinks and corals…which look so wrong. I’m one of those ‘everything looks yellow’ people; couldn’t even get a Fenty match. Got a blush I never wear. Think CT is not my speed. I wish I could see CT in person, but it’s nowhere, near me.

I want the concealer definitely! I just saw video on it and it looks like it might be amazing!

My concealer arrives Thursday and I will definitely report back. I have hereditary dark circles and drier “mature” skin so it’s always a challenge!

I got my CT concealer but it turned out to be a little too golden in #6. I tried it anyway and it is beautiful! Yesterday I went to Nordstrom and they had #5 which keeps selling out online. 5 is much more neutral so a much better color match. Gorgeous, though not quite the miracle I was hoping for – I have seriously dark circles! I also went to Sephora and tried the FAB concealer – oh my, that’s amazing too! I’m going to play around with them the next few days and determine which is the winner. They both look amazing on and do a great job of concealing circles, but I want to do a wear test. Concealers tend to disappear on me so we’ll see if one is better than the other at lasting.

Yay! Happy to hear it was good! I suspect it wasn’t a miracle but I can do with light coverage on days I’m being a bit more natural ;-D I really liked the Fab concealer too! very hydrating! It did sheer out a little on me though! Let me know how your wear test goes!

I ended up keeping both the FAB and the CT – love them both. I feel that the concealer game has gotten much stronger and these two are blendable and have good coverage. I think the FAB lasts a little longer on me, but they are both beautiful!

I got the concealer only and I love it!
it takes some twists to get it going but once you get the first application done, I can do both eyes with one twist every morning!

It’s a keeper for me for sure! I have dry under eyes and it’s hard to find something that is not drying, not crepe-y, looks natural, and feels comfortable.

I definitely think this is comfortable and long lasting (not like 24 hrs) but I would say a full day (8hrs) and best of all it is hydrating without being oily.

For reference I am NC42 in mac foundation but like to go lighter with concealer. I ordered 7 and it was a perfect match for me. I absolutely love it and will be keeping it!

fantastic I am so happy you love it Yelena! Thanks for the fab mini review 😀

thanks Muse! one CT came to sephora I wanted to buy everything in the line…BUT I decided to splurge on something I can use every day!
aside from mascara, concealer is the only item I really use every day and I have been wanting to try something new with more lasting power.
(currently using loreal infallible pro glow concealer in beige. while it is comfortable, natural looking and a good color match for me, I felt like it was gone by lunch time :/ )

this concealer should last me a couple of months and will be perfect for the winter months when my skin is even more dry.
