Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palettes Are Available At Ulta Today

Ring the Alarm, Bling Boss, Dark Magic, and Armed & Gorgeous are four new Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palettes that contain 10 shades for $15 each that popped up at Ulta.com today. Everyone is in a tizzy to get their hands on these bad boys because Jaclyn collaborated with Morphe on the create of each palette and secondly, they are cheap as chips at this price. Apparently each palette contains shades that weren’t include in Jaclyn’s original palette that she launched with Morphe and she didn’t want those shades going to waste so they decided to include them in a selection of smaller coordinated palettes each of which represents a shade grouping for creating and pairing looks up easily.

There’s also a vault of all four palettes available in stores for $49.

I agree. I have too many palettes, many not even used since I do not wear makeup every day. Instagram is blowing up with this new collection. Maybe I will get one in the future after all the hype wears down.

  • Mary Brenner

I’m sorry but I just can’t support Morphe or Jaclyn Hill. I think are both kinda shady and I’ve never gotten the hype around Ms.Hill easy pass for me.

    • Randi Macdonald

I agree. I also don’t buy made in China makeup. The whole ” reformulation” thing was shady AF. Also Morphe brushes suck. I have some brushes that I picked up in the store years ago, before Morphe blew up. These brushes were 40% off, Italian Badger. They are awesome, I use them almost everyday. They were clearing them out to replace them with their own Morphe brushes.

Regardless of one’s opinions of Jacklyn or Morphe, there’s no doubt that she does some very appealing color stories. And the vault is a total steal, unless the shadows suck. Tempted by at least 2, esp Dark Magic. Zero need here, ‘course. I think Jackie has been paying attention to Zoeva shades.

I’m not ashamed to say I picked this up the second the clock hit 8:00 AM PST. I waited in queue for a minute, but I can’t wait to get these puppies in my hands! They look great.

  • Susan

I was just at my local Ulta and they’d put these out right before opening. I got Dark Magic and Bling Boss — the former because, hey, three greens plus the other colors, and the latter because finally, a true cool-toned palette with no mustardy yellows and browns thrown in. Good pigmentation from what I can tell so far.

I really, really like all of these and was staring at them on the computer thinking the same thing: I don’t need any of these but really like all of these shades. But then I thought: will the quality be there? I have 2 Morphe palettes that I really like, but I don’t have the Jacklyn Hill one. So my question is: are these going to be like other Morphe palettes? I guess I might just cave and buy the vault as it would be cheaper and I believe I have Ulta points. Maybe it’s time I treat myself!

    • Felicia

I think the quality Should be there because when these were first originally released to influencers two months ago people were complaining so Morphe yanked all of them and redid the formulas on everything.I don’t think they would’ve spent that much money and then re-released them if the quality wasn’t good. Hopefully. Lol.

  • Kish

I still don’t have her original Morphe palette, but I have a feeling I’ll end up with it and all of these before too long. I have no willpower.

  • Lori

Ugh I flip flop on what I’m going to do. I have decided I definitely want Bling Boss and Armed and Gorgeous. I’m also drawn to Dark Magic though. Ring the Alarm looks gorgeous but I feel like I have similar palettes. So I could buy just the two I know I want, but if I decided I really want Dark Magic too, then I might as well get the whole bundle for the few dollars more. Decisions, decisions!!

    • Isabella Muse

I didn’t get any yet :-/ I was waiting on the vault to hit Ulta! I’m away this week but I’m going to try get to Ulta here and see if any pop up!

  • Susan

Help, Muse! We need your makeup investigative skills. Now people are saying that some palettes for sale are the old ones that were supposedly destroyed. Some boxes & palettes say V2 and otheres don’t, but Hill is saying the V2 stamp doesn’t mean anything (but then why would it be there at all?). Both of the palettes I bought don’t have V2 on their boxes or on the actual palettes. Does that mean I got old ones? What’s going on? Is this going to be like the Subculture PR disaster? Inquiring minds, etc. etc.

      • Felicia

I just watched a YouTube video where some tuber had the first vault and the new vault and did looks with all four palettes on each eye one side with the old and one side with the new unfortunately he was really harsh. He couldn’t confirm whether they were reformulated or not but thought they were super patchy which sucks cause I already ordered two of them but oh well they are only 15 bucks a pop which isn’t too bad. And the colors look really pretty so I’m going to wait to judge for myself.

        • Isabella Muse

I’m going to judge myself too as I find some youTubers will pick up on general drama like this and make it into something that it’s not just for views! I’d rather decide for myself! I sound horrible sorry, it’s just I don’t trust a lot of youTubers.

          • Felicia

I agree. They do tend to gang up sometimes and be Uber critical. I can’t believe the world of drama out there in the YouTube beauty universe. It’s pretty crazy. I’m excited to check mine out, also got a bunch of too faced tutti fruitti stuff at the same time so I’m eagerly watching my mail!

The “vault” wording is confusing — to me, a vault means a collection of single items, like when Urban Decay makes a vault, but apparently “Vault” is the name of these Morphe palettes in general, and Ulta is not selling all four together for one lower price, only Morphe’s web site is.

The more I read about this release, the more confused I am. Some are saying the boxes were recycled but not the palettes, which makes no sense if you think about it since that would mean that each palette was removed from each box, and then the boxes were re-used. Nope, don’t believe that.

At any rate, I used my Bling Boss palette this morning (no V2 stamp) and I really like it, so I don’t care if it’s version 1 or 2 except that if the company has lied about these, I’ll be pissed on general principle.

        • Isabella Muse

I’m confused about the vault too, not because of the contents, but because some photos on Insta show it at Ulta stores!? in the display?! But it seems that the vault is only on morphe’s site, so WTH is going on? I don’t think I believe that either? Sounds weird as wouldn’t the boxes look sort of used and opened if they did that? Well, at least it was a good one for you! Thank god ;-D but if they did lie and it comes out I’d def be a bit peeved about that.
