Too Faced Then & Now Eyeshadow Palette and Too Faced Throwback Lipstick is available today and celebrate 20 years of the brand if you can believe. Has it really been that long? I remember I discovered Too Faced after trying out their First Base Primer. I believe that was what it was called. It came in a tiny black square compact, was a subtle pale yellow, and laced with glitter.

For the big birthday celebration Too Faced introduces Throwback Lipstick in ten shades eight of which are inspired by the original colors from twenty years ago as well as a new Then & Now Eyeshadow Palette which contains twenty shades ten of which are inspired by original colors.

Of course, there’s plenty of glitter as what’s a birthday without glitter?

I’m sort of impressed with the eyeshadow palette and the way it looks! I hope the formula lives up to the promo images! I did purchase it so expect a review shortly. I also grabbed one of the lipsticks! Only one for now as I have to see if the formula is gritty before indulging further.

Anything you think you’ll get or are you waiting on the reviews?

Muse. I have too many eye palettes. I am running out of Makeup space. I just got the abh Norvina one. Too faced shadows can Also be hit or miss. I will wait for your review

Waiting on reviews for the palette and also just waiting in general for when it goes on sale since that seems to be the trend lately. The colors are pretty though but not eager to shell out $59 just yet.

Thankfully they put three mattes to transition with, so I could possibly live with this palette, but gosh it’s VERY glittery! I know that’s the theme, but I think if it tests very well and goes on sale, then I’ll consider purchasing it because I do like the color combinations.

I love commemorative + throwback. As you age, you get so nostalgic about all this stuff. Do have tf 15 years of Sephora…would have thought it was older than 5….. But I’m clearly not as much of a glitter fan as 2 decades ago. Certainly was more into tf in the way past than now. Maybe a l/s?

  • Sarah

I love the shades from 1998. Maybe because it brings backs memories. Now, 20 years later, I can’t or won’t wear glitter shadow. I’m way too old to look like I’m out clubbing. This will be a pass for me. 🙁

  • Susan

Too glittery for me. Plus in the bottom row of shadows, why does TF have to put that hot pink in every palette? And the same green shows up in every holiday palette of theirs. Easy pass, but it’ll be fun to read reviews.

I’m waiting on reviews or even waiting for it to go on sale. It costs $59 like the Natural Love palette and has 10 less eyeshadow shades.

  • Laurie

After seeing the descriptions of the eyeshadows in this palette and the price tag as well, my initial “this is a must” has morphed into “I’m glad I ordered Norvina.” Not that they are the same, but as beautiful as this is, only a handful of shades are wearable for me. It’s kind of like a festival palette given all the sparkles, and since I bought the BH festival palette, I think I’m set.

  • Darijo

I can definitely believe tf is that old. I remember the old packaging when I was 13 with the silhouette of the girl with the huge ponytail putting on lipstick. I’m 33 years old now.

To quote one of the eyeshadow colors, “I Can’t Even.” Some of the shades are pretty, but the names…Dirt Bag? Shady Bitch? Just, no. Not only that, but one of the colors has the same moniker as my ex-husband’s new wife. I really don’t want to think about her when I’m putting on my face every morning.

    • jel888

What! Didn’t even see the names, absolutely not. And I’m with you on the ex-husband-wife thing, ha! No way would I either. Too many other and better palettes out there. By the way, anyone try Ace Beauty’s palette’s before? Someone just hooked me on to them and I’d like to try one, since two of them are rather unique combinations for me.

I am on the fence with this one. I want it for the Too Faced throwback memories. But I need to see a review, Too Faced is very hit or miss.
