Bare Minerals Aurora Lights Eyeshadow Palette for Holiday 2018

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Aurora Lights Eyeshadow Palette ($48) launched today at Ulta.com for Holiday 2018 and it doesn’t surprise me considering Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty started today as well. The sale is great but it’s always a time that new items start to pop as well as it gives consumers incentive to shop even more.

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Aurora Lights Eyeshadow Palette larger Holiday eyeshadow palette from the brand featuring 18 shades. Sadly, only eight of the eighteen shades are new but at least they are a bit transparent about that considering they typically never really tell you that when they do a new palette!

Shades include:

  • Spotlight (opalescent cream)
  • 500 Thread Count (airy pink)
  • Interstellar (lavender pearl)
  • Venus (soft orchid)
  • Stardust (gold flecked cream)
  • Wavelength (neutral brown)
  • Galaxy (metallic gray violet)
  • Comet (silver baby blue)
  • Force Field (muted black)
  • Presto (champagne shimmer)
  • Delightful (warm nude)
  • Catch Me If… (rich mauve)
  • Romp (iridescent lilac)
  • Louder (burnished copper)
  • Santorini (burnished taupe)
  • Meteor Shower (deep sapphire)
  • Dazzle (midnight teal)
  • Perspective (deep espresso)

The colors seem a little muted compared to Bare Minerals typical round of eyeshadow palettes but I’m still a huge Ready Eyeshadow fan so it might be a yay in person!

There’s also a new Bare Minerals Ethereal Nudes 6 Piece Mini Lip Collection ($29) which includes:

  • Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Boss (0.06 oz)
  • Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag (0.06 oz)
  • Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer in Hype (0.08 oz)
  • Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer in Bestie (0.08 oz)
  • Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss in Tantalize (0.06 oz)
  • Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Gloss in Must Have (0.06 oz)

I only have six of the shades in Aurora Lights and the colors look good, so I will probably buy it. I may wait a bit to see if there are any deals that would lower the price. I hope this palette is easier to open than the Gen Nude palettes. I have one and it is a nuisance to open.

I went into Ulta today and swatched this and I think I need it. I’ve never purchased a BareMinerals palette before but this one impressed me.

Hi & Happy Labor Day! That eye shadow palette is calling my name. I just hope I’m not too old to pull off some of the metallic shades in it.
I’m going to wait to see swatches before buying though. It doesn’t bother me that there aren’t all new shades since I don’t think I’ve ever bought eye shadow from BareMinerals, although I have thought about it.

My Ulta hasn’t put it out yet. I called 2 stores and they told me they don’t have it.

Just got in the mail. First time user of bare minerals eye shadows. Amazing!!!! Color pay out, definitely not muted. I am a user of tarte and naked 3 and BM are much creamier and stronger, it seems. Box and colors are even more beautiful in “person”

I always wonder if these are pressed versions on their discontinued loose eyeshadow shades from years ago. You know, the one’s that always came in all the QVC kits and in other kits sold in the boutiques.
