A few pieces of the Bobbi Brown Holiday 2018 Collection popped up today with a new Crystal Eyeshadow Palette (available in two shades) that appears to have some cooler shades as well as Lip Crush Mini Crushed Lip Color Set that I must have (hopefully the minis are as good as the full-size lipsticks!

I used to be a die hard Bobbi Brown fan but lately it’s a hit or miss for me so not entirely sure I need anything from this collection aside from the lipstick set but I’ll hold off judgement until I see all the collection as maybe they’ll surprise me with something more I absolutely do need/want. I know I was slightly tempted by the Highlight & Glow Highlighting Powder Duo but I know I won’t make a ton of use out of it as I like collect and look at all the pretty highlighters but I never end up using them!

I am just not into her at all anymore. I’ve been very dissatisfied with my recent and not so recent purchases from her. To save myself lot of frustration I’m not even going to bother with anything from this collection, sad to say but I believe Bobbi Brown is off my team.

I dunno what happened! They def need to improve! The packaging and presentation is here but the quality is lacking!

  • Dee

I kinda like the all in one palette but will wait to see if reviews are good. That’s about all that is catching my eye.

I usually don’t get sparkly eyeshadows – I always get fall out and I hate sparkle fall out – but these colors are so perfectly up my alley!

Bobbi Brown is on an innovative and quality roll of late. From the Long-Wear Matte Foundation to the Cream Sparkle Sticks, the Luxe Eyeshadows (Heat Ray and Moonstone are always close at hand) to the Rosy and Bronzed Nude on Nude Eyeshadow Palettes and the drop-dead gorgeous Camo Collection. I am buying BB eyeshadow that I stopped buying years ago due to the quality. The Holiday Collections often are the best bet of the year to me. The collection above is the first round (Bobbi tends to do two) and is rolled out shockingly early. I have my eye on the deluxe eyeshadow palette with brushes and mascara. The highlight duo has a duplicate for me and others who bought Opal Glow this Spring or in a previous holiday kit. There will be a second one but it may include Pink Glow, which I already own. I’d need to see the 8-pan palettes in person. Holiday 2018 looks to be a bit nontraditional (this and the second round) and I’m okay with that.

Honestly her releases are always stellar I just wish the quality was a smidge better! Some of her eyeshadows have disappointed lately due to dryness :-/ I am excited about Holiday 2018 though! Looks like a great roundup!

Have you tried her crushed lip colors? They’re one of my favorite lipstick formulas. One of those formulas where I tried one and loved it, then bought another, then bought another. I have 2 out of the 5 included in that mini set, but I’d recommend it if others are interested in trying the formula!

I have purchased a lot of BB, but in the last few years, I feel that the quality of the eye shadow palettes is just not there. I will check out the $39 palettes and hope that they have pigment. I have lots of older palettes and still use them. I also really like the skin care, but it is expensive!

    • Isabella Muse

agreed! Not sure what happened with the brand but it isn’t nearly as good as it once was!

  • Jujubes

Looks like I have to set aside a budget just for the two Crystal eyeshadow palettes! So pretty and thank goodness some cool neutral shades!!
