About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This is on my wish list; I really like this season’s trend of starry nights. But I’ve been hesitating because I’ve never tried Ciate before and was never attracted to any of their palettes previously.

I think these smaller palettes are better than the big haul palettes. CM haul 1 prob has my fave neutrals, though. Got CM 2, only bec. it got very marked down; it’s def not A territory. I think I want the little fearless. Ciates are pretty reliable and easy. M/U dementia struck, and I can’t remember the name of the little palette I got, but it’s very nice. Blends well, no glaring faults. The Fun small palette looks like a grand one for varied colors. Ciate did a good job transitioning from being a nail co to a beauty co. People are often surprised that it is so small, but with Ciate, there is no wasted space, only very small dividers in a slimline case. That to me is a big plus.

Slim case is definitely a plus in my book! Yeah, from my research, it looks like they did a 2x 9-pan collab with OP, then the 2x CM palettes, then the 3x 9-pan Fun, Fearless, and Pretty palettes. I’m not a big fan of collabs because I don’t follow a lot of people (EmilyNoel83’s palette is the only one I’ve ever bought, now that I think of it) and the color stories of Fun, Fearless, and Pretty palettes didn’t appeal to me. But I’ve always been a fan of the slim and compact design. I might use this as an excuse to try their blushes and highlighters, as I was really attracted to them when they were first released! Thanks for the info!!

No way, everyone needs to stop with the peach, red, orange color scheme, it’s more than overdone.
