MAC 270S Falls Into The Stuff I Need In My Makeup Life Category

MAC 270S Synthetic Mini Rounded Slant Brush is on sale this week at nordstrom.com and it’s currently in my “I need this in my makeup life” category. This is a dome slanted brush with soft yet dense bristles that’s ideal for buffing and blending concealer.

I tend to be mildly obsessed with concealer brushes and I like rounded ones like this as they make application so much easier not to mention they really create an airbrushed look! I’m typically a finger girl when it comes to concealer application but certain brushes will catch my eye from time to time especially when it comes to creating that flawless look under my eyes. I’m feeling like the MAC 270S might just be one that heads into my holy grail pile of brushes!

We’ll see! Since Nordstrom is pricing matching (Macy’s has 15% off all beauty so, of course, Nordstrom has to do the same) I thought I’d purchase this especially since it has free shipping too! It’s been literally ages since I purchased a new MAC Brush!

Anyone try the MAC 270S?

What brush are you currently using for concealer application? Do share!

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Good question. I am using flat rounded ones, one from ELF….but would like to try others. Without going broke. This is a possible. Oh, I finally got Tokyomilk Gin & Rosewater. So in love…happy birthday to me!

I use the flat one from ELF too! Really like it! Yay! Love me some Tokyo Milk! Happy Birthday dear!

I really like Sephora’s PRO Airbrush Detail Brush #57 for applying undereye concealer.

Would you believe I used my sephora rouge brush to do my concealer? I love this brush, but when you get to be my age, you need a softer brush for under eyes. I find these dome shaped tight brushes tug on the skin under eyes too much so it skips….if you know what I mean.

haha I don’t even know where my rouge brush is! Embarrassed ;-D I use my fingers most times for concealer but I like to blend it to a flawless finish and brushes like this are great for that but yeah, I totally understand! Sometimes brushes can be too harsh for the delicate eye area!

Since MAC changed all their brushes, they’ve kinda lost their appeal. MAC was my first high end brush purchase. I still have a brush I purchased in 1988!! It was Made in France. I don’t think they are making their synthetic brushes in France, or Japan anymore. I could be wrong.
