Hey Everybody! MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Smooth Wear Concealer Launched

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Smooth Wear Concealer ($22) is the latest concealer launch from MAC for Fall 2018 that promises to provide up to 24 hours of wear with a medium-to-full coverage option that has a lightweight fluid texture for seamless coverage. Apparently it won’t cake, fade, or settle into finer lines during that 24 hour wear period. Not that I’m walking around like EVER with concealer for 24 straight hours but I dare some blogger to actually test it for 24 hours and let me know how it goes. I can’t, I value my sleep too much! Maybe if I was 18 again and sleep wasn’t a necessary option for survival and function!

None the less I’m curious although as a fluid concealer how different is it compared to the Waterweight Concealer which I’m still on the fence about formula-wise. Unfortunately, this has a matte finish which worries me as fine lines, dryness, you know, old age problems!

I dunno if I need another concealer in my life but I’m always up for trying them none the less!

Anyone try MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Smooth Wear Concealer yet? Or plan on it?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. i do need a concealer in my life that will atleast stay with me through an 8 hour day. ok 12 would be ideal but i will take 8 hours.

i did not care for the waterweight concealer. it made me look like i had 80 year old bags and wrinkles under my eyes. it was terrible!

crossing my fingers that this is a keeper!

12 is great, eight is solid, but not sure if I walk around with it 24! lol! ;-D likewise! I’m still, to this day, trying to figure out if I like it. It just kept drying my eyes out!

Well, I needed concealer in the fourth grade. Thanks, Dad. I’m also in the build an annex to house the concealers mode. Ulta opened even nearer-by, and I was able to read ingredients on MAC concealers. (The other close store had no MAC. This might be the first MAC in MASS.) Was totally psyched that none contain chemical sunscreens. Also totally surprised, since all MAC foundations do have them. I think i’ll spend all my ultabucks on concealers. BTW, the community section of Sephora is leaking all kinds of holiday info. New Cover FX concealer for xmas. Sephora, not Ulta, I think. The holiday onslaught looks generally amazing, as usual. that’s when they aim to kill us.. Gingerbread is the TF palette scent. KVD the Unvaxxer’s palette is called Fetish, and has questionable names, of course. But the swatches look good. (done with her, btw.) When you guys have time, there’s pages of that stuff to fantasize about. The 3 shade tease of the Huda matte Safari palette is unreal. Can’t decide whether to sweat or salivate.

My first impressions are good. I’m 50 and I have allergies so the undereye area needs a little help here. I use an eye cream sparingly first, let it dry and use this over a thin layer of bisque corrector. I buff it in with a brush, let it settle into my lines (ALL concealer does this on me) then buff it in again before setting it with elf HD under eye powder. It’s lovely. Brightening. Stays in place all day. Haven’t worn it more than twelve hours. I’m NW24.
