About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I like it but I think I want to spend that much right now. I might just get a chocolate advent calendar this year.

I love that I’m not the only one a little peeved that everyone seems to forget we still have Thanksgiving and the greatest holiday of all (Halloween) left. That is retail for you though. I’m actually not even a Christmas person I just pay attention to all of this so I can hopefully find a deal. I love chocolate advent calendars despite that but so far all the makeup ones don’t really interest me. And for 60 dollars (I assume American) I can’t afford to just get something that doesn’t sing to me. Its so weird to me these all come out in September, I don’t know a single person who gets their presents that early. November is often the time many families actually start getting ready for the holidays. Maybe the unpopular sets will be on sale then lol

🙁 I hate it! I feel like my blog just ruins Fall. I want to talk about sultry brown eyeshadows and orange lipsticks! I don’t not want to talk about holiday gift sets. It’s just so damn early. I typically don’t start shopping until the end of november (normally late night on t-day). It’s just so weird to start worrying about all this at the end of August. I mean that’s pretty much when everyone starts discussing holiday. It’s tooooooo early stop! ;-D

I completely agree, this is suppose to be time to whip out the dark vampy lips and I can’t even come across that in blogs really. I appreciate you listing the kits in your blog (helping me to find deals after all) but hopefully they slow down on this soon so we can all vibe on the falling leaves and hot chocolate inspired looks. I mean I love gingerbread and candycanes, but it’s a wee bit early.

I love advent calendars so much! Too bad I end up not using half of what’s in them and they are so expensive.
Off to Google the chocolate advent calendars now!
