Let’s Discuss This Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette ($49) for Holiday 2018 popped up while I was away last week! I was sort of unplugged last week so I wasn’t paying too much attention to launches, emails, etc…! But I did sit down this morning and ordered this right away because I felt like it was unique enough to pick up and I hope I’m right!

Ok, so first argument is it’s too warm right? And we have dozens of nude, warm eyeshadow already right? Yes, true but doesn’t it feel like there are some rather unique shades here? It feels like they jammed in some pops of the Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette in here! Along with some really toasty browns they suddenly throw in a really bold shade of pink randomly and somehow, someway it seems to work!

The colors are a bit mismatched but it feels like they’ll work together well!

Shades include: Sugar Daddy, Spice is Nice, Lookie At My Cookie, Powdered Sugar, Gingerbread, Bake It ‘Til You Make It, Gingerbread Latte, Spiked Eggnog, Hot Toddy, Frostbite Me, Spice of Life, OOO Burn!, Spiced Rum, Gumdrop, Figgy Pudding, Reindeer Paws, Warm & Toasty, Oh, Snap!

The palette is scented like gingerbread which is making a lot of people cringe in horror but I actually really love the idea!

I dunno…this one seems like it might need to come home with me!

What do you guys think?

By the way, it launched at macys.com today for 15% off using promo code VIP!

I was going to buy it today since I saw it online on HSN yesterday and BOOM it’s already sold out !! I am a bit bummed out,but I have hopes it will be restocked soon….at least I hope

    • Isabella Muse

It’s actually available on sephora, macys, ulta, etc…plus macys has 15% off!

      • Wendy

I know, I know. Recently we had a contractor in our house doing some work and when he saw my makeup the said to my husband “good lord, how much makeup does she have” ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I bout died laughing so hard!

          • Wendy Sue

            LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I hauled today, ugh. Too Faced Gingerbread palette, 2 morphe brushes, that Tarte set that has a cat cosmetic case and Smashboxes Holiday Countour palette. Now, I’m ONLY going to buy the 3 new UD Naked palettes for the rest of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha

          • Isabella Muse

NICELY done 😀 I did too as well as the tickled peach palette! debating on sugar cookie now!

        • Lindsey

Oh I can relate……I have WAAAAY too much. I love it, but yet it is horrifying at the same time! LOL

          • Isabella Muse

ITA with that! I love it but I’m also horrified as well sometimes!

Hey, never display. I’ve got lots on top of the dog crate…all in opaque containers. Women might have a clue, because they are train cases, etc, but not the average gent, electrician, plumber, contractor. Y chromes aren’t observant enough to figure it out. Upstairs I have a large red Craftsman tool chest with vast quantities of roll out drawers. The top closes, or I drape a sheet, to decrease the sun exposure to product. Some stuff is visible, but there is usually no need to go into that room. Now, if the neighbors were nosy, they’d see packages from U, S, Nordie, Yesstyle, and Zoeva. So I’d get infinite shit about my international m/u obsession!

  • Lindsey

I ordered mine already and I cannot wait to try it! I know most people were complaining it is just another warm neutral palette and we have seen it all. And I understand where they are coming from but with all the palettes being released throughout the year from multiple brands……it is no surprise that it will be another “boring” palette. For me I appreciate the aesthetic of the palette case and the names, etc.

    • Isabella Muse

I really like the looks of it as well and yes, true, another warm palette but I just like the way these shades jive! I hope it turns out as good as it looks!

  • Maria

I ordered it from Two faced website the day it launched. Now I got tracking number but shipping label created. I hope Fedex picks up package soon. I did not know that Macy’s and Ulta now have it a few days later. Too Faced site is sold out. I was saying also that it looks similar to TF chocolate gold but I still ordered it.

  • Susan

Really depends. Do I need more warm neutrals (or warm-neutrals-plus-a-pink)? No, but if the scent is really good I might get it, so I’ll need to test it in person. Look forward to your review!

  • Lesley A.

I am very tempted by the colors but worry that the fragrance could include irritation-causing cinnamon derivatives, grr….though it looks so pretty! really like the pops of plum and the pinks and silver, sigh.

    • Isabella Muse

I can’t say for sure but I doubt it does! That would be crazy bad for eyes!

  • Carol G

I really want this too. I agree it looks absolutely stunning. I even saw swatches online and it looks excellent. But for some reason I hesitated purchasing it. What is wrong with me? I just don’t want to get burned again. Every single time I buy something for full price the day it comes out, it ends up there is some sort of sale or discount 2 weeks later! And yes, I know Macy’s has it 15% off but I don’t get anything (rewards) by ordering it from Macy’s.

    • Isabella Muse

I totally understand the feeling! I worry it sucks or I worry it’ll be cheap in like a hot second!

  • Diane

I’m really intrigued by this one! I want to see it in person first, but I have a feeling I’m going to get it. I hoarded a lot of Ulta points for past few months for holiday stuff so some may be redeemed for this. I defintely need UD Naked Cherry and I’m also waiting to see what IT does for holidays. 🙂

      • Diane

last year’s beauty book was near perfection! I just wished they had a bronzer or contour instead of a highlighter, but that’s a personal thing LOL

  • Cindy

This is definitely on my list for my holiday Ulta order with points!! LOL a free haul is the best haul!!

  • Anie

This palette better smell good. I love gingerbread and ginger snaps, and that is a scent I might consider purchasing.

  • Alice Furlan

I’m extremely tempted by the packaging, scent and the fact that last year’s lipstick is my favorite ever..however, it is quite a repetition of shades I already have..sigh..dunno what to do..
waiting for it to launch in europe too..

    • Isabella Muse

I’m very very tempted even though I likely already have the shades here :-/

  • Charlotte

Color me intrigued. I’ve promised myself one fancypants palette as an early Christmas present to myself (just one! on a tight budget here). Naked Cherry, ABH Norvina and Tarte Sizzle were already on my list (looking for something with pinks/purples/coppers), but this just slid to the top. Going to wait and see how it swatches, though; Too Faced palettes have always been very hit-or-miss for me.

  • Jenny

I’m so glad Too Faced went this route for their holiday release (even though they still do have the standard Ulta and Sephora sets). Their normal holiday sets are cute and all…but not feasible to buy every year really…and the quality is just not the same in those cardboard palettes. I got this the day it came out and have used it the last 3 days…I’ve managed to use every color in the palette, lol. I LOVE it so much. Quality is amazing and the colors are SO FALL. Fall and Winter will be Chocolate Gold and Gingerbread Spice for me.

    • Isabella Muse

about time imho! I’d rather see more brands do this versus the horrible bulky palettes! I’m glad you had so much success with it!!!!!!!

  • Marie Radtke

    Hi Isabella,
I purchased it but I don’t wear “loud” colors. I’m a meteorite gal. I haven’t used it yet but every youtuber has disco eyes. I have brown eyes and 43. I’m not old fashion, I use my Viseart cashmere ect.. its my first too faced purchase. Is it possible to get not party eyes? I’m also learning how to properly use transition shades blah blah
    Lol
I purchased the CT palette and it seems too bland. I havent used it either. I purchased Sultry, Soft Glam, Norvina, Modern Renaissance , oh sweet Peach palette the all peachy mattes. I have not used any. Ive been sticking to my naked palettes 1 2 3 and smokey. Haven’t used my MOONDUST, cherry or heat yet. Help…lol Marie

    • Isabella Muse

You can def get a few nice looks out of this without going disco 😉 some of the lighter ones will work great as transitional shades and if you pat color on gently and use a contrasting darker shade you should get a nice look ;-D Hope this helps!?

  • Marie Radtke

Oh, I need help on another matter. I have about 16 tubs of meteorites and my son opened them and mixed them up, bless his little heart, grrr. Is there a “guideline” of what shimmer, matte balls go into the tubs. Thx again. I love your blog. I just haven’t commented on it. But before I buy something, I make sure it’s Isabella approved. Lol

    • Isabella Muse

Aw thanks flattered to hear that Marie ;-D There’s not really a guide around but I imagine if you google images of the ones you own you can maybe match up the balls to where they belong 🙂
