About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Arrrgh, Matey! Pretty Polly says Pretty Palette. Our HS mascot is a Pirate, and my male dachsie is a Jussi Sperling, German for Jack Sparrow. Guess I know what palette to use today! Btw, wtf is going on w/Lorac, after their acquisition by Markwins, and their positioning as ‘masstige?’ Zero info on releases, holiday, etc. Hope the acquisition did not kill them.

Arrrr! Ahoy! How are ye today? Lorac is always a little slow with Holiday launches sometimes! So doesn’t surprise me no news yet but we will see how it goes this year! Maybe Lorac will end up at Walgreens at some point after this!

Effin hope not, but being owned by the co that owns WNW and PF, and making Lorac the crown jewel, sounds pretty much like that could happen. Some, like Cargo, the Balm, and Bliss, seem to land quite comfortably at Kohl’s, and do pretty well. I guess that is quintessential ‘masstige.’ IDK, judging by Pro 4 (non-mega) Lorac still has the goods. I’d hate to see them crap out. Not sure that I’ll score this or any other/more Visearts. They DO seem to have erratic quality in the past 2 years

I be savin’ all my gold coins to buy something that’s not this! Argh!

But really, too expensive for this ol’ gal and not impressed by the color scheme.
