Here’s What’s New and Interesting at Sephora!
You know me, I LOVE Fall. I’m as basic as they come when it comes to apples, falling leaves, and PSL (hell, I don’t even drink coffee but bring on the PSL). But in some ways I also hate Fall because you always get that in-between-ness in the beauty and makeup world. It’s like brands are confused if they want to concentrate on Fall or if they want to start launching Holiday Collections and gift sets. Guys, don’t rush Fall please?
Sephora actually started hitting us hard with Holiday Collections way early this year. September the gift sets and palettes started rolling in and there I was confused about whether or not to buy that new gorgeous shade of Fenty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color or if I should head in for a value gift set like the Glow Recipe Limited Edition Watermelon Jelly Tote Set. Ugh choices though! Not to mention there are literally a slew of new concealers hitting the beauty world at the moment and Huda Beauty The Overachiever High Coverage Concealer is high on my list to try out. I guess we just have to settle for celebrating both Fall and the Holidays together. Double your beauty pleasure right?
Shopping at Sephora.com is also a little too easy an experience! I can pop any and all beauty into my cart, check out, and within a day its sitting on my porch waiting for me to tear it open. Sephora ships items Lasership so, I tend to get my orders super fast. My recent order I placed on Friday I got on Sunday!
Anyway, as I said high on my wish list was Huda Beauty’s The Overachiever High Coverage Concealer ($30) which I pretty much snagged the day it launched at Sephora. I was waiting out the promise of a concealer that contained 31% concentrated pigment. Bring it on! My life has become a hunt to find the most perfect concealer but I’m not sure if I just like the hunt and adventure of trying new concealers or maybe I just haven’t yet found “the one”. Many, many times I feel like I have found that perfect holy grail concealer only to start searching again. I guess I want too much because I’ll find a formula that’s pigmented but too dry or one that’s hydrating but too sheer!
Huda Beauty The Overachiever High Coverage Concealer ($30) is available in twenty shade selections and is a full-coverage matte cream concealer with a cooling applicator. I know, I know did you mentally cringe when I said matte? I totally did too! My eyes are dry as hell and I really do prefer a more hydrating formula. But the problem with hydrating formula sometimes is they sometimes lack coverage. Also, I have had some great success with matte concealers in the past. I’m currently testing this one out and I’ll share my review with you shortly.
But I digress, let’s chat Fall for a second! As you may know Fenty Beauty extended their range of Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Colors to five. Yup, five! Last Holiday, they launched a gorgeous red in this formula but this Fall they added four additional shades one of which I’m wearing in this post! That yummy dusky rose is Uncuffed! You see, I was playing it safe with this one! I really wanted that grungy looking chocolate brown shade called Unveil but of course, I played it safe and went with Uncuffed! I’ll work up to Unveil soon but for now I’m loving Uncuffed! The formula is creamy, applies easily, sets to a soft matte finish, and didn’t look dry on my already dry lips!
Even though I’m not quite ready for Holiday gift sets I don’t mind picking up ones like Glow Recipe’s Limited Edition Watermelon Jelly Tote Set ($40) because lord knows Fall skin needs moisture! I already own the large Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer which was a Summer staple for me but I haven’t yet tried the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask nor the newer Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask and you can get all three in this set so why not!?
