Sephora Wish Upon a Star Advent Calendar for Holiday 2018

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

There are not one but two Sephora Advent Calendars to look forward to this year! Sephora Wish Upon a Star Advent Calendar ($36) launched right after the Once Upon A Castle Advent Calendar and is a slightly cheaper and smaller calendar to count the days off till Christmas.

Wish Upon a Star Advent Calendar is a 12 day countdown calendar that contains little beauty accessories to count down the last 12 days until Christmas.

If you’d like some spoilers about the contents jump ahead!

  • 0.03 oz Lash Adhesive
  • 0.09 oz Glitter
  • 0.5 oz Glitter Adhesive
  • 0.6 oz Mini Solid Brush Cleaner
  • Large Blending Sponge
  • 4 x Mascara Wands
  • 4 x Sponge Applicators
  • 4 x Hair Ties
  • Palette Ring
  • Powder Puff
  • Pair of False Lashes

This actually contains more accessories than makeup so if makeup and skincare is your deal you might want to go with the larger Once Upon a Castle Advent Calendar as this one is smaller with absolutely no makeup options. That kinda sucks in my opinion as much of what is in here is ridiculously overpriced at $36! Hair ties are like cheap AF and so are blending brushes, etc…! Come on Sephora you can do better!

Sephora Wish Upon a Star Advent Calendar is $36 and available now!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. That is without a doubt the lamest advent box I’ve ever seen. Sponge tip applicators? Mascara wands?? Come ON, Sephora.. that’s just embarassingly bad, even if it were only $10, it’d be insanely bad… Huge misstep for sephora, which is pretty unusual for them. But that’s pathetic. Wow…..

I personally wouldn’t mind an advent calendar with makeup accessories since they are something I forget to bother with and could make a cool gift, but I find this just… Meh really. I feel like they could have thrown in some cooler accessories. I dunno but sponge tips? I don’t even use those. Could you imagine actually getting this as a gift getting hyped for what’s inside only to find out there is a cheap look puff inside lol It’s just sad, their are plenty of better accessories if they wanted that theme being sold on their online store. Whats next some cotton balls? If your going to be selling such cheap items you may as well theme them to the holidays. Those lashes are not screaming quality at me. A shame cause I think so far in terms of holiday season this year they have been doing well.

Four whole sponge tipped q-tips, and four cheapo black elastic hair rings? This is just pitiful, more so for the people that actually spend $36 on it.
