About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Thank you for the heads up! At half price I am buying it for the blushes! 😉

Well we knew this was coming. The question is: Is it even worth it on sale?
Thoughts? Anyone who has this palette can you let us know? Muse I know you reviewed it as well. Do you reach for it at all anymore?

23$: it’s worth it for the 4 blushes, alone. They are quite good. I got it prior to Muse’s and Christine’s reviews. Disappointment, but not killer, on the shadows. Some work adequately for me. There is uneven depth of pigmentation, which makes blending a p.i.a. You can do 2 shadow looks pretty easily, but the minute you try 3-4, one of them gives you some wtf moments. The palette design is wonky, with a pull out mirror in the middle, the blushes on one open side, the shadows on the other. UD brings on my depotting frenzy, with their overblown, illy thought out packaging. Accessing the product is goofy, once the mirror is out. You cannot handle both product and mirror at once. The mirror is narrow, so you cannot see your whole face, ever, just your eyes. I think the wonkiness of the palette did not get mentioned a lot, but was a bigger factor in neg reviews than reviewers let on. But, i’ve gotten some poorly reviewed palettes on sale at S, like Ciate CM 2, and found lots to like and use.

I almost bought it but after re-reading your review and many others I decided against it. I am eyeing Charlotte Tilbury’s Stars in Your Eyes palette which has been restocked, more expensive but looks like it’s worth it so maybe it will be the palette to get for the holidays!

CT’s has been getting bad reviews but I have to admit i like mine!

I am holding off until I read your review on it. It’s so expensive it has to be worth it!
