Happy Thanksgiving!
How did we get here? Where did the time go? Another year almost over and a new one a few short weeks away!
I am blessed and so are you because today is one more day you are above ground and granted life and a chance to do good things and make a change in the world around you be it with a smile at a stranger or in some major way that could potentially change the world.
I am ever always grateful for the life I have been given. Every day I wake up, get out of bed, and have that chance to greet the world is a good day. Anything else is cake! This life was meant to be smiled and laughed through! It was not given to you or me to spend endless hours worrying or being angry or stressing out or being sad. When you start to see yourself feeling that way, stop, breath, remember you are here for a very short time and you must enjoy the time you have to the fullest. It’s all so fleeting and it goes oh so fast. One day you’re 15 years old and rushing your way through high school so you can get out there in the big bad world and the next you’re 80. My mom always tells me how quickly my years went and much faster I grew up compared to my older sister. I always smile and hug her when she says it but when I get to thinking about it I realize she’s right. My childhood feels like yesterday at times but some days it feels like a hundred years away. How did I become an adult so quickly?
Remember, you don’t need a special day to be grateful but use Thanksgiving as a time to remind yourself of the things you have and remember how thankful, grateful, and blessed you are. Be it the tiny stuff like the soft, warm bed you rest in at night or the even bigger things like the roof over your head, the job that puts food on your table, and the wonderful friends, family, or furbabies you surround yourself with.
I’m glad I have another year to be thankful I’m right here typing this, healthy, alive, and well. I’m blessed to have you all in my life, my lovely Internet family. Thank you for spending your time with me. Thank you for blessing me with your presence every day. You make me feel very special that you want to spend time with me. Because time is so very precious and a gift I can never repay.
Remember to be thankful you’re alive and able to enjoy all things!
May your Thanksgiving be filled with lots of food, great friends, family, and most important the chance to open your eyes again and greet the day. Every day is a new start, if you screw it up today, tomorrow you can start all over again! Use your days wisely, be good to everyone you meet (even the mean people), and remind yourself how fast life passes you by so take a moment to enjoy it.
And most important, remember I love you all.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Go forth and eat all the things today!
