Lip Smacker Advent Calendar Will Make Your Holiday Sweeter!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

I just purchased the Lip Smacker Advent Calendar for Holiday 2018 for $12 bucks and I have no regrets! Lip Smackers were part of my Christmas every single year for me! My sister always included them in my stocking every single year and to this day I still get one or two tucked into my Christmas stocking! They just bring back so many feel good makeup memories as I feel like they were the gateway drug into the world of beauty for me (as was Chapstick!).

This year, you can celebrate the 12 days of Christmas with some samples of Lip Smacker flavors as well as a few full-size tubes! The gift set features full-size tubes of Kiwi, Mango, Cotton Candy, Bubble Gum, and Strawberry as well as a few samples of festive flavors!

There’s also a new vault I’m terribly tempted buy!

Eep! See it below!

The Lip Smacker Lip Vault ($20) was a pretty successful launch last Holiday season so it comes as no surprise they have a new one available. This includes 24 full-size flavors from classics like Cotton Candy to newer flavors like Skittles Green Apple! It’s a super deal too at $20!

Yeah, I totally don’t need this but I do want it!

Ugh!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Too old for this to be nostalgia, but what a great gift the vault would be for a preteen! Thanks.

Wow, this takes me back too! I always got them for Christmas too, I love the little sets they always had. The advent calendar is too cute! And welcome back, I missed you last week!

    • Isabella Muse

Oh I don’t blame you! We had snow here on Friday and Saturday. And it’s dark so early now that it seems so much worse. Enjoy the sunshine!!

The days seem never ending here! It’s a weird feeling! People are also so much laid back compared to NY. NY everything is a rush and a blur! California seems to be moving on one slow speed…! It’s always a culture shock when I visit, really not used to such a lifestyle!

          • Jaclyn

Where in California are you? I live in the very south of LA county just before the transition to Orange county.

          • Isabella Muse

I live in New York just visit CA often because my BF works here 🙂 We flew down to orange last week to go to Disneyland! We are back in SF now. Are you ok? Any smoke? If you’re towards the south I imagine you are fine!

the air quality is dangerously bad. And 3 Jewish camps in Malibu have been destroyed by the Woolsey fire. I spent countless time at 2 of the 3 camps and my sister at all 3. We also have not been able to find out the status of a 4th Jewish camp in Simi Valley which is actually the largest piece of Jewish owned land outside of Israel. When I was in 6th grade, we lost our house to a house fire and spent the next 11.5 months in a hotel. I truly do know the destructive force of fire. I was 11 when our fire happened and my little sister had just turned 2. It was an incredibly difficult year being stuck in a small space with a 2 year old. I had no privacy which an 11 year old is starting to need. As if starting over a new school, for middle school isn’t hard enough on its own. I have asthma and carry a reusable N99 mask with me in my back pack (I’m a full time college student). My father has severe asthma and never fully recovered from last year’s severe fire season. He has an air quality app on his phone so he can moderate his activities depending on the days air quality. The air quality never fully recovered after last year’s and this summer’s horrific fires. Next time you are in Orange, Ca please let me know. I do not live too far from Orange and if at all possible would love to meet you.

oh my god I’m so sorry Jaclyn. That sounds horrible! I was devastated after spending so much time in LA/Orange and enjoying ourselves only to hear within a small time frame that the fires had destroyed so much. The weather was perfect, we had a slight delay in our flight back to SF, but aside from that it seemed like everything was fine. Things escalated so quickly! I am so so sorry you went through that and are now facing it again 🙁 People always say New York is the worst because we get the snow but honestly, it’s heaps better than dealing with a host of other issues that other states do like fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc….We rarely if ever experience such disasters 🙁 My heart truly goes out to all of you. I wish I had known ahead of time as I’d love to meet you! I’m back and fourth a lot to SF but we don’t always get to Orange (we have seasonal passes though and do try to give them a workout). We were at Disney a few weeks ago, several days in fact which would have been a great time to meet ;D But I’ll def be back! <3! my heart is with you! If you see me talking CA in the future do reach out ;-D I'd LOVE to see you!

ps between the fires and that shooting, the OC has been getting hit with some horrible stuff 🙁

I used to like Lip Smackers when Bonne Bell owned the company before Markwins took over and bought it. Back then, Lip Smacker and Bonne Bell catered to us collectors (we buy thousands of lip balms a year. I used to buy like twenty thousand lip balms a year). They would create new flavors just for us collectors, and they didn’t need Disney products to carry the brand like nowadays.

In 2015, Markwins bought Lip Smackers and Bonne Bell. I was so worried about if the quality would be good like with Bonne Bell, and I was right that the quality would turn bad. Markwins keeps putting out the same flavors in different packaging for all the seasonal years. They started to make LS and BB products in China when they’ve been made in the USA since the beginning. Us collectors complain all the time to Markwins, but I don’t understand why they don’t cater to us. I don’t understand why they can’t create new flavors for us collectors to buy. Lazy, lazy, lazy!

I wish Markwins were more grateful for the dedicated fans they acquired when they bought LS from the Bells. Seriously, the world doesn’t revolve around Disney branding.

I mean, come on, we spend our entire salary every year buying over thousands of LS products unlike the other lowly customers who only purchase LS products like, maybe once a year.Markwins sticks to about 8-10 flavors and renames them 20x’s. *Eye rolls* With all the money they’re making from the Tsum Tsums WHY aren’t they spending it on R&D for new and AUTHENTIC flavors!?! I like, wrote in on Facebook about my thoughts and someone had the nerve to say to my post that Markwins won’t cater to us because we’re not the general public. We’re a niche brand and a small niche. The person had the nerve to say that since Markwins is a big company, they have no time to target small niches like us. The person also said we’re in the 1% and no company is interested in us because we’re that low.

I’m like, excuse me????!!! Us collectors are so not niches at all. We helped build up the company to how great and powerful it is for today. If it weren’t for us collectors, this company wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did. Now, Markwins is ruining everything that Bonne Bell stood for. Also, that person said since another company took out, the management would manage BB and LS differently than Bonne Bell did because of the switch of companies.

Even if we’re the 1%, we spend 10X as much as the regular consumer, who doesn’t buy every new Party Pack coming out, or collection-most of us do! So our opinion does matter. How hard is it to do a few brand new flavors a year and some really good originals collections? I literally avoid any Disney branded Smacker now. I will buy any but that just to spite it.

Emily Huang is now head of all Bonne Bell/Lip Smackers brands at Markwins. Clearly, she’s sleeping at the wheel because they haven’t done anything with the BB brand and clearly nothing new with Lip Smacker. Bill George is her boss. Both need to leave cosmetics immediately

That is so, so wrong! They should manage LS and BB the same because we’re the companies bread and butter.

UGH! I’m so over Markwins. Anyone with me?

And this years holiday collection is the same as last years. Same flavors with different packaging. SMH.
