E.L.F. Has A Potential Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer Dupe

E.L.F. Poreless Putty Primer may prove a cheaper solution to Tatcha’s The Silk Canvas Protective Primer!

Poreless Putter Primer is a solid primer that contains Squalne which helps to grip makeup allowing it to wear all day while protecting skin from losing moisture.

I’m actually not a massive fan of Tatcha’s formula! It’s just not something that worked on my drier skin! I so wanted to love it but no joy sadly. I’m a little iffy on E.L.F.’s version but I’d still love to try it and see how it stands up against Tatcha’s version.

It’s only $8 so if by some chance it is as good as Tatcha’s formula it’ll make a lot of makeup users very happy!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m definitely here for it!! Once it’s available in Canadian stores …… Well actually after a few Utube reviews if they are positive… Yes I will try it. Hope it’s positive. Can’t wait!!

I bought one of the Play by Sephora bags that had the tiny sample jar of the Tatcha primer and I like, not love, it on my combo skin. It doesn’t work well with my tinted moisturizer or concealers, which is weird. With powders it works better. It sold out on the Elf site. I am curious how it compares. For only 8 bucks it’s worth a try.

some people have said they found it in target, no luck here yet! Ulta has it online as well!

Try Ulta or E.L.F.’s own website.
I think this is a fabulous alternative to the Tatcha.
I’d say for $8 the quality of the Putty primer is fairly close to the $52 Canvas primer.

CVS carries ELF cosmetics but I haven’t looked seriously for awhile. Each store also varies in what and how much they carry of different lines. The store close to me only carries a tiny supply of Essie’s TLC nail polish but a few miles down the road has a larger selection so if they have the ELF you might want to check more than one store.
