Spring 2019 Drugstore Makeup Collections are starting to trickle in from brands like Maybelline, Physicians Formula, Rimmel, and more! I was somewhat shocked to see much new stuff at Harmon’s during a recent trip there because drugstore makeup has been really, really difficult to find lately as many brands are selling their collections exclusively in certain stores or launching on their website first before releasing in stores or sometimes not in stores at all.

It was actually really nice seeing so many new displays out because it’s been slim pickings lately in the drugstore makeup world.

Here’s some of the items I found!

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara is now available in a new shade called Rich Cocoa Brown! That sounds amazing in theory but brown mascara typically does nothing for me. I always expect it to look amazing with my brown eyes but it never looks as dramatic as black for some reason! This collection also includes two new Diamond District City Mini Palettes. The new Maybelline City Bronzer seems to be going more mainstream. This was originally launched at Walmart and Amazon and is finally now popping into drugstores!

The real gem in Maybelline’s early Spring 2019 launches is the new Snapscara which is named so because it removes in a snap. It promises a long-wear that extends your lash length while adding volume but removes easily with water at the end of the day!

Additions to the Studio Collection include the new Maybellinne Tattoo Studio Brow Pomade Eyebrow Makeup is available in six shades and is a waterproof matte finish brow cream as well as new Tattoo Studio Sharpenable Gel Liners that wear long, strong without smudging.

Looks like Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum is also going mainstream as it was originally available exclusively at Amazon but is popping up in drugstores now! The formula acts to create thicker, fuller lashes in 4 weeks.

On to Physicians Formula who has their new Butter Eyeshadow Palettes available that include 12 shades each (divided into three quads) as well new Butter Lip Creams that have an SPF 15 with a touch of color and hydration for lips.

Rimmel has a new and interesting shimmer eyeliner called Wonder’Swipe 2-in-1 Liner to Shadow that allows you to either line eyes or line eyes and swipe up to create a sparkly eyeshadow look. These new shadow liners launch with a new mascara as well called Wow Wings that creates fluttery lashes.

I’m sure all of these brands have plenty more upcoming for Spring and I’m looking forward to seeing more! However, I do hope we get to see it all in store too soon! I was every so delighted to run across so many new items!

Have you run into any Spring 2019 Drugstore Makeup Collections?

Do share!

I have had the Snapscara for a month now and I don’t care for it. It smudges and flakes onto my under eyes after a couple of hours. The Total Temptation is still the best mascara for me, even though it can be tricky upon application. I find it to be super wet and if I’m not careful then it smudges onto my eyelids.

There is a display of the Snapscara at my WalMart, I saw it over the weekend. Also, they now have a Profusion display! I definitely want to try those PF lip colors, they look awesome. The brown mascara looks great too, I love brown but it’s getting harder to find.

My daughter loves the profusion lip kits. She said they are great quality for the money. Also purchased the profusion blush palette and liked it. Everything else sold out before we could get anything else!

I have the blush palette and like it! Their Sienna eyeshadows and all browns look good I’m so tempted each time I walk by those makeup isles. I know I shouldn’t! “♀️

I picked up one of the new Rimmel wonder swipe liners from our cvs for my daughter and she loved it! Said it was super easy to throw on, smudged it out a bit and it stayed all day. She definitely wants to pick up some more!

I’m psyched to try the new lip butters. I really hope hydrating lip products are making a comeback.

Oh, wow. Mayb tubing in colors? Color me there. What is the connection between Harmon’s and BB&B? Same parent co? Boston area BB&B have lots of Harmon’s labeled stuff, and Harmon’s does not reach as far as Beantown.

    • Isabella Muse

Face Values, Harmons, Christmas Tree Store, and BB&B are all part of the same parent co 🙂

Omg! Your drugstore has so many new things!! I just went to a rite aide and Walmart yesterday and browsed the makeup aisles and didn’t see anything new! D:

So I don’t have it with me to take a pic, but I bought at CVS this past week a new L’Oreal mascara based on the Lancôme Grandiose Mascara with the bent wand- but the L’Oreal one you can bend or straighten the wand. It works actually much better than the Lancôme because the actual brush is much better and it doesn’t seem to clump and looks nice on. And it was only $8.99! But I live in the Deep South, you may have to pay a bit more, sadly.

    • Isabella Muse

oh that sounds good! yeah, mascara at the drugstore is equivalent to mid-range prices lately! Like freaking $14.99 for a mascara! Ouch!

  • Kelly

Yes!!! So ready for drugstore makeup!! Tired of the prices of higher end brands going up and up and up! And I miss the fun and laid back nature of buying drugstore makeup! Looking forward to those City Bronzers and the new Physicians Formula palettes and lippies! Yay!

I kind of want to boycott these brands that do these ridiculous amazon exclusives. Ugh.
