Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blusher Review & Swatches
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blusher ($40) is probably one of thee most perfect blush shades for people like me that tend to overdue their blush or apply with too heavy a hand. When I first purchased this many months ago I remember being pretty disappointed as I expected a brown-based pink but in the pan this shade looks like mud! It’s really misrepresented in promo images and the shade is a heck of a lot darker than it appears in those photos!
After trying it I changed my mind!
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow the Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blusher has been in and out of stock a few times. I never reviewed it because of this but thankfully enough it seems to be stocking around now! I guess everyone has it already haha….!
This blush arrives in oval palette that holds 0.28 oz of blush. Charlotte’s packaging is pretty basic yet elegant as the inside has lovely rose gold accents with her signature star etching and a generously sized mirror. The blush has an outer blush shade with a core that acts as a highlighter. You can swirl your brush in both shades and apply to the apples of your cheeks or you can easily use the shades individually by swirling your brush around the blush shade and apply and dipping into the highlighter to finish your look! I thought doing this would be awkward but it’s actually not! I did however, find it easier just to swirl both shades together and apply as I’m not a master at highlighter placement.
The brand advertises this shade as a pink and champagne blush shade but I honestly fail to see the pink in it until I actually apply it on my face. In the pan it seems like a warm muddy rose brown blush with a soft beige highlighter center. I’m admit the color terrified me. I felt like it was too brown and it would look very muddy on my cheeks. It actually turned out really well for me! Maybe it’s the lighter highlighter when swirled together with the blush but I get a very natural warm pink on my cheeks when I’m using this. It accents but doesn’t overpower not to mention I find it really hard to overdue since the blush is packed well and I don’t get a lot of kickback which results in softer, sheerer application that builds easily. The texture is quite silky but not powdery nor dry and just dense enough that I pick up just the right amount of color to apply. It also wears crazy well for me without fading until I remove it at the end of the day!
As someone with a heavier hand I’d say the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Cheek to Chic Blusher is a keeper!

This a blush slash highlighter that can be swirled together to create a luminous glow on cheeks and face or you can use the shades individually should you like. The color is a warm rosy brown with a champagne beige center. In the pan, the color is a bit intimidating and looks muddy but it applies very naturally and gives my cheeks a warm rosy glow!

- Wears very long without fading.
- Looks rather unappetizing in the pan!
