Valentine’s Day is on the way whether you’re ready or not. Christmas has already been replaced with boxes of chocolates and plenty of hearts at stores. And of course, this extends to beauty…! There are a lot of cute heart lipstick options (and even a cat one too for those of you that are cat ladies and lads) available at the moment.

Here are a few heart and cat lipsticks that are available for Spring 2019.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Collector Oil-in-Stick Lipstick $38
I can’t think of a single person that doesn’t love the lightweight texture and shine factor of Rouge Volupte Shine Collector Oil-in-Stick Lipstick but even better is this limited edition collection of these wonderful lipsticks that have tiny little hearts imprinted on the barrel inspired by Saint Laurent’s famous Love Notes.

YSL Volupte Plump-in-Color Plumping Lip Balm $39
If you’d like a little plumping with your lipstick as well as shine these little lipsticks have a plumping heart core that’s surrounding my a nourishing color lipstick. Formulated with peppermint oil and a hyaluronic acid the core acts to gently plump and hydrate lipsticks!

If you prefer spending Valentine’s Day with your cat versus a human these Winky Lux LuxPurrfect Pout Lipsticks ($16) are for you! The sheer formula contains jojoba oil and Vitamin E for a touch of color and a pretty hint of shine not to mention they have a cat-shaped core making them extra cute!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh those Winky Lux ones look a little like Paul and Joe lipsticks.

I’m a suckered for anything with an animal on it. I think Too Faced got me and the Katy Kat eyeshadow as well. Then I didn’t want to use them to wipe away the pattern. Lol

ADORABLE cats. Winky is cute, in a Kawaii-P&J way, anyway. I have to share s.t. I found out today that rather horrified me, and the upshot is that I’m not sure we can trust much at all. HA: use it, love it. But what is the source of the HA? I was (no shit) cleaning the refrigerator, and read a health food store bottle of liquid HA. This large-ish bottle is designed to be ingested, not applied. The source of the HA issss…., don’t even wait for it….hen’s combs. OMBFG. To think that we have to go back a step to figure out how familiar ingredients are sourced/made. I was so horrified that I put it back on the fridge door, but trash is Friday. I suppose it’s no worse than the snail, but I added it to drinks once upon a time. Consumed hen combs. Gagworthy. I don’t even do poultry feet in Asian food. Queasily, your fan, kjh
