I didn’t expect to want any new makeup or eyeshadow palettes for Spring 2019 and I was even tempted to put them on my list of trends that must die. But really, who am I kidding? Palettes have always been a major downfall for me. I dunno what it is but I love a good palette. The assortment of shades, the possibilities of creating a ton of different looks, mixing and matching shades, it all makes palettes very fun even if I have several thousand already.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Not new: Sydney Grace Winter 17 bundle. WL’ed it a while, and it’s frequently OOS. So far, liking the SG i’ve scored. Have to admit to being tempted by the restock of tha CP SSS vault, esp w/a markdown. Marbling and surface txs will get me every time. I need zero, but the Catrice is an interesting layout and concept, with the black bases for extra pop. I wish U still carried the Catrice singles. Best DS e/s EVAH, IMO.

So much newness, and it’s only the start of the year! Gah! I’m trying really hard to limit my purchases this year, but so far, I’ve already got my eye on the Mac Lunar New Year!

sigh… I wish some of these companies would go back to making single shadows again. I don’t like mattes and whenever someone makes a palette there are always at least a few mattes, which I will never use. Also whites and darks/blacks which I will never use. Most of them are too expensive for me to purchase and then not use half the colors. 🙁

Is the header image from Claire’s?? I swear I had packaging that looked just like that about a decade ago!

    • Isabella Muse

It’s a stock image. I imagine Claire’s probably did have something like it.

    Hello,
Do you know anywhere I can purchase the Olivia Jade palette? I was bummed Sephora pulled it.
I wonder what they are going to do with all of the palette they already had. I love those colors so much! Thank you and keep up the good work.

My pleasure! It was out a few months ago and now with this controversy and the fact they cancelled her contract it’ll be difficult to find! Maybe you can trade for it on MUA or Specktra! Good Luck!
