Puma x Maybelline for Spring 2019 Arriving at Ulta this February

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Puma x Maybelline will be arriving for Spring 2019 at Ulta.com starting February 8th and mass retailers on March 17th. This is the first time Maybelline has collaborated with a sports brand to create a makeup collection and their inspiration was to create streetwear inspired looks that are long lasting. Looks that you can apply that will take you from the street to the gym.

Yeah, ok. So, I don’t wear makeup when I’m sweating on a treadmill but no judgement if you do! That being said, I look at the collection from a standpoint of do I like these colors? Will I like their formula? Will I wear them? And not so much as something that will take me from the city streets to the gym. That being said, Athleisure is definitely a trend we’ve seen in the makeup world before and one that drugstore makeup collections will obviously be taking on for Spring 2019 if this Puma x Maybelline Collection is anything to go by!

PUMA’s latest ambassador Adriana Lima will serve as the model for the new collection.

Let’s check out some more details on this new makeup collection below!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Have to check it out in person…to see the shades. But maybe the eyeshadow stix. I wish the lipsticks weren’t matte, but I knew they would be.

I agree – I’m so sick of matte lip products! The eyeshadows do look interesting but the rest of it is kinda meh.

I am too! That highlighter looks gorgeous, and several of the matte ink colors are very pretty.

I do agree with Muse that I would not wear it to the gym, so the branding of the collab is a little odd to me, but I quite like the looks of the colors and will definitely be picking up some things.

I’m really interested in the eye shadow sticks! I love Tarte’s and I used to be addicted to the L’Oreal HIP line’s sticks too. And of course, I’d love the highlighter even though I’d probably never use it lol.

The only thing that excites me is the shadow sticks. BUT I am waiting for an order from Kiko Milano, where I ordered 4 long lasting shadow sticks for 50% off and free shipping! So maybe I don’t want those Maybelline ones after all.

Have to admit that I grinned when looking at the highlighter. I do actually understand that some folks would like to look pretty at the gym if it’s possible, but putting highlighter on when going to the gym to work out might be a *wee bit* much – you’re going to sweat, and highlighting might just bring more attention to a sweaty greasy face – UNLESS you plan on applying it to your body?? but hard to imagine anyone putting that much effort into your appearance when heading to the gym – now you’re almost putting more effort into getting ready instead of focusing on getting benefit from the workout.
That lecture over; I am definitely curious about the eyeshadow cream sticks. Waterproof eyeshadow is a big claim. I hope they did not put harsh, drying ingredients in this formula to make it waterproof; as the punishment on the delicate eye skin would be worse than the reward of having pretty eyes while working out. I will be looking at the formula/ingredients as soon as I can find it. Definitely will check out the matte eyeshadow sticks if the formula is okay, as there are not a whole lot of matte cream sticks of this type out there.
The matte ink lip shades are likely drying- again, it would be about the ingredients list. I’m not a fan of matte lippies at all but I agree that the matte lip look might be the right choice for the gym.
    Thanks for this post.

I can appreciate wanting to look good at the gym! A little cheek stain, maybe curl my lashes but no mascara, but highlighter is probably going a bit too far…! even eyeshadow for me personally is too much makeup to sweat with. But I’d be all about some of these items as regular makeup not so much as “gym to street” option! ;-D My pleasure!
