Sephora Rouge Rewards with Flash Shipping Updates on the Site

Just a heads up the Sephora Rouge Rewards are active on Sephora.com. As per our discussion a few weeks ago Flash Shipping is no longer a benefit of your Rouge Membership. Where as before it was something you automatically received when you were a Sephora Rouge Member it is now available as a Sephora Rouge Reward.

There are several Rouge rewards available for you to choose from today:

  • 500 Points
  • 750 Points
  • Two Makeovers For Yourself or To Gift
  • Four Makeovers To Share
  • Free Shipping with $35 Purchase
  • Free Flash 2-Day Shipping

I’ll be the first to admit some of these are utterly lame. For example, why would they offer $35 shipping as well as 2-Day Flash? I mean, is anyone going to say, “Oh I don’t take the free 2-day shipping! Instead I’ll go with the free shipping on orders of $35 or more…” WTF though? How does that make sense? Also, I’m not really all that interested in points since there is anything of great value to redeem them for aside from Reward Gift Cards which come with a host of stipulations. And makeovers don’t interest me at all!

Needless to say, I will be chosing to extend my Flash 2-Day Shipping option. What does confuse me is I thought that I’d have Flash Shipping until my Rouge Membership renews at which point I would have the option to choose a new Rouge Reward one of those being the free Flash 2-Day Shipping. Since these new options are on Sephora’s site for all Rouge Member does that mean that all Rouge 2-Day Shipping is no longer available? I decided to test this out by popping a few items into my cart and doing a mock checkout. Flash Shipping is still in fact an option when I check out. Will it go away tomorrow? Next week? I’m assuming at this point I don’t have to yet click that Flash Shipping Reward until I’m getting ready to renew my Rouge Membership at this point but who knows when that Flash Shipping option will disappear.

I’m confused….!

Anyway, I suggest waiting just a bit before you decide to select Flash 2-Day Shipping as a reward!

    Now you’ve confused me. After I chose free flash shipping as my reward, I received an email stating I’ve got “Free shipping for one year.”� Is this not what I should expect, and as I’ve not used it, do you think I can ask them to unchoose that option?

      I’m confused too that why’s I mentioned in this post to hold off choosing a reward since 2 day shipping was still showing as an option when I check out. I’m not sure, you can try and see what customer service says. I do wish they were more clear how this works!

    Muse, I would contact Customer Service. I, too, would assume you would have it until your Rouge membership expires and then if you qualify for it again, at that point I would think is when you would choose…however, we all know what happens when you assume…I feel sorry for their CSRs because there will be a lot of people questioning this as it is not clear!

      I haven’t had a sec to call CS as I am at work! Was going to try to do later tonight because I’m a little confused right now…! It’s sort of unclear if Flash is around until you renew or if you have to renew now!

      I’m sure many CSRs are looking for new jobs. The pubic is bad enough. A confused, enraged public must be very hard to bear. I am so over S, their self-importance, and their so-called rewards system. They think what they write/say CLARIFIES things. As so many are confused, clearly the policies are ambiguous. I predict a lot of defections and loss of sales, at least in their existing customer base. I have always known that S cares more about new customers than us dinosaurs. Look how we are treated in the store, unless a SA already knows us personally. They are too busy following around the young’uns to keep them from pinching stuff.

    I’m a VIB and one of my reward options (the other two were 500pts, free makeover) was the free shipping with $35+ purchase. I don’t understand why that’s an option for Rouge though – like you said who would choose that over free shipping? I went ahead and selected it and I’m locked in through the end of the year. Not sure how it will be affected if I extend my VIB status through 2020. I’m assuming I’d select it as my reward again once I hit $350 this year. IDK.

      I don’t get it. I was signed in at the time because at first I was like, wait, maybe I’m not signed in and it didn’t see my Rouge status but I am and it still offers me free shipping with $35 purchase. What a dumb option. It’s all very confusing… :-/

    Mine did not renew itself, which was lame. I called to ask why, since I qualified November last year and my rouge was good until the end of this year. This said it is what it is. I hadn’t yet redeemed my reward for making rouge last year, so I clicked on the flash shipping option just a couple of weeks ago, and lo and behold, my flash shipping is good until the end of 2020, but my rouge is only good until the end of this year…I really don’t understand their system…

    I’m no longer Rouge, just a VIB and I had three choices: 500 points, a makeover of some sort, and free shipping for $35 or over. I’m guessing there was some sort of glitch where Rouge members are seeing all the choices?

    When I go to Account > Subscriptions, it says I have Flash Shipping until February 18th. I assume I’ll be able to choose the reward after that.

    Or sooner if they decide to change it, I guess.

    Are they still going to offer free shipping with a minimum purchase, in general? I think it used to be over $50? Or maybe $75? I don’t worry about dollar amounts because I usually spend that much on an order anyways. However if they are going to start charging for shipping period unless you select the reward that will be lame.

    I’m pretty over Sephora. Once upon a time, their reward system was pretty cutting edge, but with so many retailers upping their game in the rewards department, Sephora’s program isn’t really that special anymore. I still shop them occasionally, but only when I can’t get stuff I want somewhere else.

    I’m really confused. I can’t even find any of those options on my account. I’m a rouge and saw them earlier this morning, but I didn’t know what I wanted to choose. Now, I was going to pick the free 750 points and I can’t even find any of the options that were offered.

    Check your Subscriptions tab inside your account. My Flash Subscription page says I am enrolled (I renewed Rouge status sometime after the summer last year) but only until February 17, 2019. 🙁

    I am so annoyed, I can’t even express it all, lol. I made Rouge for this year, so I should enjoy all the Rouge benefits I was promised for this year. There is really no benefit to being a Rouge tier member anymore – 750 points does not $1000+ a year justify. I am donezo. argh.

    I am a rogue through 12/31/2019. It showed me as already being signed up for flash shipping and only 2 choices of rewards, 4 make overs and 750 points.

    I was purchasing something online yesterday and it offered me my Rouge reward. Before I chose the free shipping, I checked to see what it said on my account and it said I had it through the end of May because I purchased it last year before I became Rouge. So I added the free shipping as my reward and it told me that I would get free shipping until the end of 2019, meaning that it would overlap with the shipping I’d already paid for, so they’d actually only be giving me half a year. That really pissed me off, so I decided to just pay for it at renewal time and I just took the stupid 750 points. Come ON, Sephora! If we’re willing to drop over $1000 on makeup a year, you can at least give us our free shipping. Uh, paging Ulta… now’s your chance to step up and grab all the PO’d Sephora customers.

      WEIRD very weird! It looks like the remove the rewards now too and posted there are issues with it on the community boards!

    It was there yesterday and I forgot to checkout. Now when I go back today the rewards are gone ugh

    I don’t get it earthier, two weeks ago I had an offer to claim 250 points as a rouge and it disappeared when I requalified. I emailed and they said I had to claim it before my rouge renewed for the new year. I also had a free makeup brush reward that disappeared when I requalified for rouge. Why would rewards disappear for their top tier shoppers? It makes no sense…
