And Now For Something A Little Different From Bobbi Brown for Spring 2019

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Bobbi Brown Molten Drama Eyeshadow Palette ($59) is something a little different from the brand! Actually it’s not only different but like nothing I’ve seen from Bobbi Brown before. Bobbi’s always been rather consistent with her launches. The packaging is always simple yet elegant and for lack of a better way of describing it, it’s very grown up!

This new Molten Drama Eyeshadow Palette is not only a launching pad for a new Chrome Metal Eyeshadow formula but also an introduction of something very different from the brand. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a palette of this style from Bobbi Brown before! The rectangle compact looks like an ABH release or even a Lorac one. It comes with five of the new Chrome Metal Eyeshadows which have color-shifting perls that add shine and a multi-chrome finish to eyes. You can also get two regular eyeshadows, two Metallic Eyeshadows, and one Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow.

Shades

  • Matte Eyeshadow in Pale Cream and Rock Steady
  • Metallic Eyeshadow in Sun Daze and Steel Orchid
  • Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow in White Flame
  • Chrome Metal Eye Shadow Strange Fire, Lost Treasure, Love on the Rocks, Metal Vision, and Electric Storm

Bobbi Brown Molten Drama Eyeshadow Palette is available now.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. You’re right … this does not look like BB to me. Maybe now that she’s been gone for two years, they want to go in a somewhat different direction, hence the two colorful holiday palettes. This is beautiful, but there aren’t enough matte shades to interest me. It does not remind me of ABH. Maybe Lorac, but what firstcame to mind was the Electric Pastels MOCHI palette from NYX, though I’m sure the quality will be far better.

they are reaching for a younger demo! Sadly, it takes away from the classic beauty Bobbi was about. Oh yeah! I see that too now that you mention it!

Unfortunately since the departure of The Bobbi Brown I have been underwhelmed by the brand. That in mind, I will pass.

Same here. I remember when BB headed the company, she was all about wearable colors, and little to no shimmer. It was designed for “business women” (my phrase, not hers) but now it’s just like every other line out there, and virtually none of them are making/designing products for anyone over the age of 30. So – I’m glad I have my stash, because at this rate, that’s all I will be using; I see nothing – literally, nothing- this spring that has even remotely tickled my fancy.

I actually liked BB was sort of for mature woman and that her “look” was practical, wearable, and sometimes a bit fun but not crazy pigmented. She was my go to for subtle but nowadays it’s a lot different!

It really is – ever since EL bought them, it’s been crappier. But that seems to be true of most everything EL buys – they ruined Stila, and now it looks like they’re going to do that to BB as well, and that’s really sad.

Hope Bobbi starts up another line – and focuses on the “business” look like she used to! She’d sell the yell out of it! At least to me, she would. 😀

Let’s face it, EL ruins all the things! Last I heard she was set to launch a new millennial collection and I sort of put up my nose!
