Chanel Quintessence Les 9 Ombres Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Palette Is Giving Me Fall Vibes and I Like That!

Chanel Quintessence Les 9 Ombres Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Palette ($70) caught my eye this morning and it’s giving me all kinds of Fall vibes. I wish Fall didn’t fly by so fast this year. Well, it seems like it does that every year. I remember as a child the Holidays and seasons seemed to last for ages. Nowadays I blink and they are over! Even though we are headed into Spring I’m all about Fall shades for my eyes so I’m quite alright with this sultry little number from Chanel!

The palette contains nine gorgeous shades in matte and satin finishes. I’m loving the blue and gold and of course, that stunning red. It’s a little bit of an odd release as it seems best suited for Fall looks but I’m totally wanting this one none the less even if I have to stash it a few months before using it. But honestly, I love doing a blue and gold look in the Summer too!

This yumminess is available now at Nordstrom.

Hey, what’s your latest high-end purchase? Anything I need to know about?

And by the way, Happy Weekend! What are you plans? It’s been pretty cold here and I can’t remember the last time I spent a weekend at home and that’s exactly what I might do. Tonight I’m going out a bit to have dinner and a movie with friends but I feel like just vegging for the rest of the weekend! I know myself though, it’ll probably never happen as I can’t sit still for too long!

What are your plans this weekend?

I just picked up the limited edition of the spring summer YSL nail polish (I love doing my nails and may suffer a polish addiction) I am also looking at the Chanel spring polished and one of the new lipsticks. Dior is tempting me with their spring collection as well several lip colors and the nail polish are calling to me.

I am happy to report I am not a polish addict thank god haha ;-D Some of the new Dior lip colors are call to me too!

This looks different and I love it..I wonder if Hudsons Bay will carry it. I work every weekend, my days off are during the “work” week. Today is my day off , so just went for lunch with the kids and I’ll be sipping coffee and reading The clockmakers Daughter

Enjoy your down time dear! I wasn’t so into the The Clockmaker’s Daughter 🙁 but I loved Lake House ;-D What do you think of it so far? I hope you find the palette!

Chanel makeup here is down to two Bay stores and available online at a couple of places. At $98 CAD, I would need to check it out. I am interested in the tweed-like blushes.

I hope that Chanel will rerelease the Empreinte du Desert palette. Mine is almost empty.

Last high end purchase was the Dior Midnight Wish gold blush and the Chanel No. 5 red lipstick.

Nothing much has arrived for spring yet. Some of the YSL lipsticks look promising as does Dior’s spring stuff.

oh no that sucks. The Tweed Effect blushes are lovely! Empreinte du Desert was a lovely palette! The greens and golds totally my thing ;-D I just got the new Dior highlighter in peach but nothing else from Spring yet!

Dior 999 (I got it with Boots loyalty points). I’m surprised it works so well on me, as it leans slightly orange, which usually is a bit jaundice-chic on me. But it’s a lovely true red.

this is so pretty! for whatever reason, i have never ever owned a Chanel eyeshadow pallette, and I am not sure why! i own purses from them and own their cream bronzer and have only had 1 lipgloss that was gifted to me about 10 years ago. i have also had some skincare from them about 10 years ago or so too. this pallette , along with many others, are quite beautiful tho! may need to check their palletes out in-store. for whatever reason, i their shadows are always something i overlook.

as far as recent high end purchases recently, i acquired some new Tom Ford goodies. ‘Gold Dust’ Ultimate bronzer, his foundation #02 brush, a lipstick (cant recall the name, as its at home now), and his cream eyeshadow in ‘Spice’. His cosmetics are so decadent, i cant resist!

This honestly looks like a cheap, dusty-ass eyeshadow palette from a gift set you get a preteen. You know the ones, they often come with 4 lipsticks, bad brushes and some kind of glittery train case. I’m just not wowed.

I haven’t actually purchased it, but oh how I pine for Westman Atelier’s tinted highlighter. That thing looks so gorgeous. Alas, it is sold nowhere near me and for that amount of money I like to swatch it it at least.

Otherwise… I’ve been pretty bored with new makeup lately.
