Jill Stuart Sweety Strawberry Hand Cream Review
Jill Stuart Relax Sweety Strawberry Hand Cream ($15) launched with the Jill Stuart Valentine’s Day 2019 Collection late back in January in Japan. I’m sort of obsessed with collecting Jill Stuart limited edition hand creams. Why? I have no idea because when I really like them and use them up I sob about the fact I can’t purchase them anymore.
Sucks.
I picked up the cute Sweety Strawberry scented hand cream last month and I’m actually nearly done with it. I might grab another one before it disappears as I’m really quite liking it.
Here’s some thoughts.
Jill Stuart Sweet Strawberry Hand Cream retails for $10 in Japan but AlphabeautyUK (a great seller) on ebay.com sells it at a very reasonable price of $14.95. I got my original tube from Japan directly but I’ll be purchasing my backup from AlphabeautyUK as the price isn’t bad at all. They also have other fragrances from the permanent line available but I’m all about the LE scent for Valentine’s Day.
If you spend a good deal of your makeup life obsessed with packaging I’m sure you’ll appreciate this hand cream. It arrives in a white tube with brightly colored chocolate covered strawberries decorating the tube and a metallic pink cap. It’s quite pretty and perfect for displaying on your vanity. It’s small in size but it does contain a surprising 1 oz of hand cream inside.
The formula is a lightweight texture that absorbs easily into skin without leaving my hands feeling greasy. I thought maybe the scent would remind me of Cake Beauty’s Strawberry Shortcake Hand Cream but it’s actually more of a realistic strawberry scent! I get ripe, juicy just bit into strawberry scent from this. It’s quite realistic but subtle and not overpowering. I was actually hoping it would smell like chocolate covered strawberries! Wouldn’t that be yummy? They claim it’s scented like strawberry milk but to me it smells just like a bit into a strawberry!
The formula contains honey and white strawberry and raspberry extract. It’s lightly hydrating but not super moisturizing. It’s a nice way to soften hands throughout the day but not a cure for super dry hands/skin.
All in all, I’m glad I grabbed the Jill Stuart Sweet Strawberry Hand Cream and I’m looking forward to snagging another one. If you’re a bit of a hand cream junkie I’m sure you’ll love it!
