I’m Weak I Ordered The Natasha Denona Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette

Did I need to spend $129 on the Natasha Denona Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette? Probably not. Did I? Yes and I have no regrets!

I think I’m going to get a lot of use out of this balance because hi, I’m so boring lately. No, seriously, I am. The other day I was playing with the ABA Riviera Eyeshadow Palette and I did this pink and yellow look and I had at least three people stop me and say, “Wow! I really like your eye makeup!”. Now, this is amazing for me because I’ve been blogging for 10+ years and I’ve been playing with makeup for even longer than that. However, I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just not really good at blending, eyeshadow placement, etc…! It was kind of nice having someone stop me to say they liked my eye makeup.

That being said, I felt like a dork in a bright pink and yellow look. It’s just not something I feel young enough pulling off anymore. I’ve become really, really enamored with nude, natural eyeshadows for the last several years. When I started this blog, I was all about bold eyeshadows! Aquas, greens, etc…! I wouldn’t be caught dead in browns or taupes, etc…! Lots has changed! I really like mattes now! That’s a finish I wouldn’t be caught dead in several years ago. Mattes have improved considerably in my opinion. They are so much softer and silkier than ever before making them so much easier to wear.

So, when I heard Natasha Denona was doing a new eyeshadow palette I was all about grabbing it especially since it contains shades I know I’ll use daily many of which are matte.

The Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette contains 15 eyeshadows in the following shades:
Rustic (metallic copper), Prairie (matte camel), Coco (matte dark burgundy), Freckle (matte antique nude), Shine (metallic champagne), Pasha (matte red), Monroe (metallic pink champagne), Rayon (matte medium burgundy), Buff (matte antique pink), Tone (matte clay), Seed (matte dark chocolate), Tor (matte dark grey brown), Sculpture (matte light grey), Spot (matte dark black), Tusk (matte light beige)

I’ll be reviewing and swatching this as soon as it arrives.

Did anyone else grab it today?

I just discovered this palette was coming out yesterday!! I am going to Sephora this am! I know how you feel about the ABH palette. I can’t wven imagine those colors on my eyes. While they are beautiful, they just aren’t my style.

I must be an idiot as I thought it was a little difficult to use. The shades don’t jive well for me for some reason! I struggled creating looks using it!

  • Christina

I’m still all about that colour! There’s a place for natural and neutral looks, but I love playing up my eyes and the best way to do that is through bolder colours. However, I’m really into the springy, bouncy look lately, so I’ve been reaching for the softer, more water-colour shades than the full on pigments. I think it looks a little weird when my face makeup is so “fresh” and light, but my eyes are intense. It’s all about the balance!

I really like it too! but I do feel weird too without as much eye makeup on! But softer really looks great with some nice luminous cheeks ;-D It’s hard for me to get the right balance at times as I’m so damn heavy handed :-/

And that’s where the Japanese eyeshadows are really great for the soft look. No matter how hard I try, I cannot go heavy with those. LOL! Even my Suqqu’s aren’t that strong in pigment, to be honest, but they sure do make for some pretty shimmery eye looks.

OH GIRL! I can get some bold looks using some KATE eyeshadows! But not so much with Suqqu! That’s true!

I ordered it today too, first thing in the morning before I paid any mid month bills. Her shadows are such good quality, and this is the type of palette that is truly versatile and will last a long time. I consider it an investment piece. These are colors I can rock for my skin tone, and I can’t wait for it to get here. I usually don’t splurge like this, but I really wanted and deserve it!

I was all set to wake up and order this palette asap when it launched but then I saw the swatches and was a little disappointed so I’m waiting. In the promo swatch images on ND and Sephora the top two rows look so similar. So similair they’re almost duping themselves. So I’m waiting for actual swatches until I decide because in the pan the top row looks more yellow/golden and the second row more orange/red/rest tones. And NDs live swatches on her stories looked different than the promo images. I feel like they were overly saturated or edited incorrectly. Can’t wait for your review! I’m like you lately, now that I’m getting older I’m more boring and all about neutrals too and starting to get away from the colors on the regular. But I always think you pull off everything!! Being a daily reader for years and seeing you in so many looks I feel you can rock anything. PS,. Did you get your hands on any kosas products yet?

    • Isabella Muse

oh no really? I didn’t see any swatches aside from the heavily promoted edited ones they have on the website! Damn! I’m getting it today so hopefully it ends up looking better in person! I hate to have a bunch of shades that run together for this type of $$! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you’re too kind <3! I love you! that made my day ;-D NOT YET! But def on my list after you raved!

      • Lacy

Didn’t mean to spook you on your purchase! NDs instagram swatches looked so much better than the stock photo. The first two rows are definitely different tones. I think someone accidentally botched the stock photo. Like they accidentally flipped the first row and made it the second set too lol

I hope you got to play with it today. It’s on my list to order ASAP if it’s Muse Approved!
And you’re welcome. Love ya. Truly you can rock anything. I’m jealous.
