Sephora Rouge Lacquer Are $13 Maybe They’ll Save Me Dior Addict Stellar Shine Lipstick’s $37 Price Tag?

Sephora Rouge Lacquer ($13) arrives today for the Spring 2019 season in 32 shiny shades. Maybe they’ll save me from the $37 I’m looking to splurge on Dior Addict Stellar Shine Lipstick? One can hope!

Sephora Rouge Lacquer promises a lacquer-like finish in a balmy texture that’s formulated with all sorts of lovely moisturizing ingredients like Vitamin E, Shea, and Mango Butters. Not only do you get shine from these babies but also, an affordable price tag and long-lasting intense color according to Sephora. At the moment Sephora Rouge Lipstick is available in three other finishes of matte, satin, and shine. Now, lacquer joins the family as well!

They had me at color, they had me at shine but I’m a little iffy on the scent which they called fresh and delicious with notes of vanilla, peony, and….patchouli…ummmmm! That might be a bit much for me! We shall see!

Having great experiences at Sephora lipsticks I’m all about checking these out! And hey, if it saves me a few bucks on Dior’s version even better!

Sephora Rouge Lacquer is available now!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Lipstories are excellent. Hope they did not ruin the formula with scent ingredients. Vanilla, yeah, peony, maybe, patchouli, doubt it. Not sure I want l/s to smell like Woodstock or Altamont, anyway. Surprised they don’t have CBD oil, lol.

I plan on going to Sephora this weekend and will check these out. Thanks for the information, I’m a lipstick/gloss junkie lol

Last time I went to Sephora, they were not in store. I want to see the colors in person before I purchase them.

Definitely going to be checking these out, such pretty colors and I like their $8 color stories lipstick

I don’t mind the fragrances except for patchouli. I love it in perfume… not so sure on my lips. I think peony alone would have been enough (I’m not a fan of vanilla). I look forward to a review, though! The bullet looks luxe. I’m eyeing that red. ๐Ÿ™‚

Living in a flyover state, none of the new Sephora stuff is available at any store within 100 miles of me.
I’ll wait 3 weeks and hopefully it won’t be all sold out by then.

I was thinking the same thing about these being similar to the Dior lippies which I want a bunch in ugh ! Iโ€™m going to Sephora next week. If these are out Iโ€™ll play with em and let yโ€™all know how they are. I think they may even be like the Lโ€™Orรฉal lip shine too now that I think about it . Which I have in every color lol

That’s a hard pass. The thought of smelling peony *AND* patchouli all day is too much. Unfortunately, patchouli is the one scent that I try to avoid at all costs.

I bought this in Dare To Be and I absolutely love it. I do think it is a good dupe for the Dior. I am definitely buying more shades. Thanks for the heads up Muse!
