Urban Decay Game of Thrones Pictures, Prices, All Revealed Today!

The Urban Decay Game of Thrones Makeup Collection has been revealed on the brand’s website this morning! Pretty exciting for both makeup and Game of Throne fans alike! I haven’t quite developed my feelings and opinions on this collection yet but as I post these pictures I’ll give you a little bit of insight into what I’m thinking about them!

So, sit back, grab your goblet of mead, and let’s chat the Urban Decay Game of Thrones collaboration!

So, there are two special edition brushes available which represent Arya’s and Jon’s sword. I’m sure there are any number of different swords in Game of Thrones but I guess these are the two that stick out the most. Arya Starks Needle Flat Eyeshadow Brush ($28) is a small flat head brush with denser bristles for packing on color and of course, the handle is shaped like Arya’s mighty little sword (which always reminded me of Sting somehow!). It actually looks like a concealer brush doesn’t it?

Jon Snows Longclaw Large Eyeshadow Brush ($28) is a larger shadow brush for laying down and blending color. The handle is shaped like Jon’s great sword.

These are definitely collector’s brushes in my opinion and not meant for everyday eyeshadow application.

Now for one of the more exciting parts of this collection for me! Dracarys Lip And Cheek Stain will bring fire and destruction to your cheeks and lips. Maybe I made that up! But seriously, I really want this because I’m an absolute cheek stain h0r! This comes in a dropper style bottle and gives cheeks or lips a hint of reddish stain. With Spring on the horizon and Summer soon after I can see myself making plenty of use out of this!

It wouldn’t be a limited edition UD release without some new eyeliners! There are four sparkling shades of ($22) that are launching with this collection.

Shades:

  • Drogons Fire (Smoky Purple)
  • The Night King (Shimmering Teal)
  • Lannister Gold (Beige Gold)
  • Winterfell Snow (Iridescent Shimmering White)

There are also four new shades of Urban Decay Game of Thrones Vice Lipstick ($19) in the following shades:

  • Cersei Lannister (metallic bronze)
  • Daenerys Targaryen (fiery red)
  • Sansa Stark (warm peach nude)
  • White Walker (deep berry wine)

It comes as a no surprise that there’s Mother Of Dragons Highlight Palette ($36) because really, what would a makeup collection be nowadays without at least one highlighter? I dunno if this evokes our Mother of Dragons but it contains three all new shades of Afterglow Highlighter to highlight and add warmth to your face!

And finally the pièce de résistance! The Urban Decay Game of Thrones Eyeshadow Palette ($65) which is sure to make you squeal in joy or cringe in horror because you’re concerned about where you’re going to store this bulky palette! Our palette represents the three houses and of course, our rave of villains, the White Walkers and contains twenty total shades. Broken into five shades per house these shades represent House Targaryen, House Lannister, House Stark, and of course, the White Walkers.

For the magpies, you know who you are, there’s a complete Urban Decay Game of Thrones Vault that’s $250 and contains every single piece of the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Makeup Collection!

Now is your chance to speak your piece and tell me what you think of this new collection?

Will you be hauling it all?

Or leaving it?

Do share!

Urban Decay Game of Thrones arrives on April 24th!

I think the brushes are sort of meh! Not something I’d typically use on my eyes to do a look! But the handles, the handles are def cool! But of course, I’m totally fangirling when I say that!

          • wendy sue

i won’t be buying any of it. I’m in a lul right now with makeup.

          • Isabella Muse

aww <3! We all get there at some point ;D

  • Rachael

I love the idea but I don’t think I’ll be hauling this. Honestly the shade names are the best part but I think there are some color misses. WTH is House Lannister a peach and not a gold? Or even a red? So weird. I do like the look of Winterfell but the White Walker palette is spot on!

    • Isabella Muse

I like the idea a lot more than the actual collection. Ten years ago, I’d swoon, now I’m a little more picky and choosy. For collection reasons, I could see myself buying it but for wear, it’s a little disappointing! The shades could have been more better and more unique! And ITA the white walker shades are spot on!

    • Lauren

Yeah, there’s definitely some colors in there that don’t quite go with the characters/houses/etc. The Lannister stuff should be redder/golder, not so bronze-ish. The weirwood leaves eye shadow should be more orange.

Still, I’m going to get at least some of it – I’m too much of a geek not to!

  • Cindy

I don’t watch GOT (shock horror I know) but from a color standpoint I might get 1-2 of the eyeliners and the red lipstick (of course) LOL.

    • Isabella Muse

that’s a good thing actually as you can start with the books ;-D and not let the show ruin them for you!

      • Hollie

At this point, I don’t know if I can recommend the books anymore.

The story is so different, and at this point I have zero confidence we will ever see The Winds of Winter.

    • Carol G

Cindy, I don’t watch the show either – it’s too violent for me – but I certainly know the characters and the majority of the plot. People look at me sideways when I say I don’t watch it. I am also only interested in the red lipstick and the one dark eyeliner. That’s it which is good because the palette is not only expensive it’s too much for a non-fan. I don’t care if my eyeshadow palette folds out to a big throne. I just want to put on my makeup and go. But I get the appeal of it for the fans of the show. I’m sure they’re thrilled.

      • Cindy

Honestly years ago I watched the first episode and was so appalled (and it takes a LOT to get me appalled) I didn’t want to continue. I also didn’t get a lot of what was going on because I didn’t read the books. And yes, I agree, don’t need the palette if I’m not a fan!

  • Michelle

I love GOT, I’ve read all the books and seen all the shows. But I’m only going to haul 2 lipsticks, the stain and the 2 brushes. I don’t really have a use for the others, even though it all looks so awesome.

  • Jen R

UGH, I need the palette and three of the eyeliners, at a minimum. Luckily the lipsticks aren’t speaking to me, and the highlighter palette looks pretty boring too, but I do also kinda want those fantastic brushes, too.

I’m turning 40 at the end of April, maybe an early birthday present for myself?! 😉

  • Hollie

I was SO DISAPPOINTED when I saw that palette packaging. I feel like UD completely blew it. It’s so bulky and just straight up ugly. It is not a display piece. It’s cardboard toy packaging.

Why is the White Walker lipstick not called Arya Stark?

Will I still buy the vault? Yeah, probably.

(Also where’s my frosty white inner corner shadow called “You Know Nothing”? lol)

    • Isabella Muse

LOL! I guess UD didn’t want to feed into the You Know Nothing culture LMAO!

  • Amber

The eyeshadow palette is a miss for me. Way too bulky and the pull-out setup isn’t great. I would have preferred separate house quints rather than this big cardboard nightmare. I’ll probably grab a couple of eyeliners and at least one lipstick. I want the brushes because they’re so cool, but I don’t like UD brushes.

    • Isabella Muse

I’m sort of like you with this. In some ways I’d love separate houses palettes BUT that might be a little expensive so I can see why they went with one big palette. I like the iron throne pop up but I also, like storing things easily and this is most def going to be bulky AF!

  • Violet

I’m squealing, but my wallet (and storage space) is cringing! I’m a huge GoT fan and I want them all!

  • Stacy Kraft

MUST.HAVE.THE. PALETTE. In fact signed up for a text as soon as they are up for sale.

Maybe a lipstick but you can keep the brushes.

  • Margaret Jackson

Completely agree with Amber — so wish they would have released individual 5-colour palettes vs. the cardboard monstrosity that is being offered instead. And as a UD-loving Canadian, I shuddered when I saw that it was retailing for $65US because that means it’s gonna be anywhere from $15-25 more for us. I’ll wait for a sale. I don’t like gimmicky brushes, so nope. A few lippies, the bronze and that dark one, and 2 of the liners (not the white or gold). I have enough highlighter (UD and other) to be visible from the Int’l Space Station, so passing on that too… I guess it’s an okay collection, but nothing I’m super excited about.

  • Jaimie

Can’t wait!!!! I am buying the whole vault even though I’ll probably use less than half of it lol! 🙂

  • Amanda Locke

Price for lip stain? Not listed and it’s the only piece I want lol

  • AB

I’ll check out the liners and stain, see what I think upon swatching. I don’t need a palette this large these days. Regardless, a cheer for UD — sometimes I think they’ve become less relevant (even though I do use a UD shadow, liner and/or lipstick almost every day)

  • Caroline

I thought UD would have had separate palettes for all the houses, ‘cos I’d have got the White Walker one *sigh*. Never mind. I’ll pick up the Sansa Stark lipstick and The Night King eyeliner but that’s about it (I don’t have dupes for either). This collection seems a bit slapdash – the shades and names feel mismatched. I dunno, maybe it’s just me ….

  • Beth

I watched the video that Urban Decay put out for this launch and I have to say that I was underwhelmed by the products. First of all, the two brushes looked like they were clumsy to use and very short. There is a demo given using products from the launch On YouTube if anyone is interested in seeing how they look on an actual person. This palette is very ginormous. I mean, do you really need the Iron Throne taking up valuable realisate on your makeup vanity when you are trying to put on your Makeup. I recommend the video if you are not sure if this is worth a haul or not.

  • Kimmyyy

I’ve been obsessed with the A Song of Ice and Fire book series since I was in high school, and I love the show as well (despite the changes from the books), but I can’t say this collection really grabs me, especially the shadows…and if they aren’t snagging die-hard fans with that ridiculous palette packaging, I can’t say anyone else is really going to be interested. I’ll probably pick up the stain because I’m also obsessed with them, and I may grab Jon’s brush and that unique looking “Dragon Smoke” liner, but no way am I getting that bulky palette. Ohhhhh well, saves me some money!

    • Stacy Kraft

I totally agree the palette itself is silly. Didn’t UD do this earlier on with those “book of shadows” palettes or something? Anywho, I think I am just loving the colors, BUT I thought the same thing with the “Born to Run” palette and when I saw it IRL I passed.
Also agreed, why on earth would the White Walker lipstick be red?

  • genevieve

I really like the Censai Lannister lipstick in the metallic copper and the Lannister Gold eye pencil, as I think the shade is quite unique. As for the palette and the highlighters, I have enough of the shades I like already. And the whole mismatch of shades to characters/houses is annoying for those who are diehard fans of the show. I don’t think the shades in the palette are anything spectacular in terms of uniqueness either. A golden opportunity missed here by UD by not getting all the details right.
