Anyone got any lip products on their wish list to pick up during the Sephora 20% Off Event? I picked up a few new shades of Bare Minerals BAREPRO Longwear Matte Lipstick I was recommending in the post I did earlier today on Muse Approved makeup and beauty picks! I also got a new Buxom Serial Kisser Plumping Lip Stain to try out and I thought I’d head in stores to peek at the new Sephora #LIPSTORIES shades as that formula is pretty brilliant.

Here’s some new lip products available now at Sephora you might want to grab up using your 20% Off discount!

Buxom Serial Kisser Plumping Lip Stain $22
Buxom released this new lip stain earlier this month and I’m glad I held out purchasing one as I used my 20% off to grab one up today. They say it’s formulated as a lightweight serum that provides shine and a lasting stain. You know me, I’m so over mattes it’s not even funny! I’d love to see how shiny these are! I’ll let you know what I think! Anyone grab a shade or two?

Fresh Sugar Lemon Hydrating Lip Balm $18
I already owned and gave Fresh’s Hydrating Lip Balm a rather poor review. I got the shade Caramel when it launched way back when it originally launched and was disappointed how sheer it was but the formula is one that really does a nice job hydrating my lips plus adding some great shine. I purchased the Lemon version late last month on their website and I don’t regret it! It’s yummy, hydrating, and give lips a nice bit of shine plus keeps them nice and moist. And I’m not disappointed at how sheer it is as I didn’t expect any color this time around!

Bite Beauty Outburst Longwear Lip Stain $24
I think we can all agree that Bite Beauty gives good lip! I’m curious abut their new bold lip stains that have a lightweight formula that’s moisturizing and long-wearing!

Shiseido Color Gel Lip Balm $26
As someone with drier lips I do so love a gel lipstick! This hydrating hybrid formula has a balm-like texture that hydrates lips and keeps them smooth!

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm $15
I picked up one of these a few weeks ago and at $15 they are already a good deal but with 20% off they become even sweeter. A lot of people expressed they didn’t like them when I posted about them but so far, I’m enjoying them! Quite a nice moisturizing lip balm!

Sephora #LIPSTORIES Destinations $8
Here’s an equally great deal! At $8 these are priced pretty sweet but with the 20% off they become even nicer a deal! I have a few of these in the original shades and love them but for Spring/Summer 2019 there are eight new shades to choose from!

Stila Beauty Boss Lip Gloss $15
And yet another sweetly priced lipgloss at $15 bucks but with 20% off the deal becomes even nicer. I picked up a shade a few weeks ago and I’m quite loving it. Glossy, excellent pigment, feels very pleasant on my drier lips! I need more!

Too Faced Peach Puff Long-Wearing Diffused Matte Lip Color $19
I haven’t yet but I’m going to grab one or two of these Peach Puff Lip Colors as I’m hearing rave reviews and although, I don’t like matte lipsticks I’m going to give them a whirl and see how it goes!

Givenchy Encre Interdite 24 Hour Lip Stain $33
If you like a creamy lip stain this one promises up to 24 hours of waterproof wear that lasts and lasts and lasts!

Laura Mercier Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick $32
Laura Mercier’s newest lipsticks are making the hit airwaves! I’m hearing amazing things so I went ahead and ordered their most popular shade called Nu Prefere which is a pink brown! Laura’s claim to fame on this formula is the lightweight, barely there texture with the comfortable satin finish.

Sephora Rouge Lacquer $13
These new shiny lipsticks from Sephora are a great deal as priced but at 20% off they get an even bigger yay! The formula is lightweight, slick, and has a shiny finish so, if you’re tried of mattes this is a perfect fit!

I purchased one of the Buxom Serial lippies and I have mixed feelings. It’s a slightly more finicky formula than I was expecting BUT I’ve learned a couple of things that make it work a little better for me. It may just be my lips, but I find that the formula applies a little on the patchy side initially and I have to work with it a little bit. It works best for me on completely bare lips that literally have no moisture on them–no balm, nothing–and then I actually apply a balm AFTER the stain dries and it seems to smooth out my lips and make the actual stain color blend on my lips more easily and evenly without compromising the color or formula itself. The scent is interesting, almost a slightly medicinal blueberry (it’s actually growing on me although I didn’t like it at first). The first couple of times I used it I wondered if I’d made a mistake buying it but but the more I use it the more I like it.

I’m expecting mine to be here by Thursday! Interested to try it. Thanks for the mini review! Is it drying? Or does it feel hydrating? Also, is it shiny?

It’s neither drying nor hydrating; it’s somewhere in the middle for me, and it starts out shiny but dries down on my lips to a soft matte. It’s not uncomfortable at least but it just takes more work than I’d like in order to make it look even. At first I wondered if it was just the shade I’d chosen or if it was just ME but I’ve since read other reviews on Sephora and a lot of other people are having the same experience.
