5 stars out of 5

Pat Mcgrath Labs Mini LUST Gloss Trio ($25) is a trio of mini Lust Lipgloss shades that’s available in a warm and cool shade selections. It’s a rather nice way to try out the Lust Lipgloss formula without spending $28 on a single shade. Don’t get me wrong, Lust Lipgloss is totally worth the $28 price tag but it’s always nice to get three mini shades to check out, try out, and play with before indulging on one full-size shade.

I own both the cooler and the warmer shade range in this set but the warmer is my favorite set as it contains one of my favorite nude shades which is called Flesh Fantasy. Finding good nude lipsticks and lipglosses is always challenging for me so when I do find one it instantly becomes something I hoard away! I already own the full-size of Flesh Fantasy but I still purchased the set as I thought I’d use the smaller one for travel and like I said just to hoard it because it’s so perfect!

Just to break it down this set contains three mini shades that are 0.05 oz each and the set is $25. A full-size lipgloss is 0.15 oz and $28. That makes this set a rather nice discount! Not only do you get three shades but also, you’re saving $3 as the set is equivalent to the size of a full-size lipgloss.

But the most important question is the formulas a good as a full-size. Sometimes minis can be a little iffy in my experience. Sometimes they are NOTHING like the full-size formula! I totally believe that mini mascaras are way better than the bigger version! I always get mini or deluxe mascaras that are amazing and buy the full-size only to be disappointed! It’s the Mini Mascara Dilemma! In the case of lipglosses the opposite holds true. Sometimes I get mini lipglosses that aren’t all that fab but the full-size I love!

I’m happy to report the Pat Mcgrath Labs Mini LUST Gloss Trio formula is identical to the full-size formula. Even the applicators are great! Sometimes minis have crummy applicators but these have a larger sponge applicator that saturates well with color.

The gloss formula is quite pigmented and has a smooth, lightly creamy texture that applies easily on my drier lips without setting into finer lines. It isn’t sticky nor tacky and had a subtle fragrance-free formula with a shiny finish that wears for about three to four hours. It’s a very comfortable lipgloss that feels lightly hydrating and doesn’t move around my mouth!

This set is a wonderful value and does make an otherwise higher-end brand much more accessible for those who wouldn’t think of indulging!

I’m kind of kicking myself for not picking this up during the sale. I have some of her palettes, but none of her lip products. This looked so good on line, but then I was worried about the colours not working on me. They look really nice and wearable, except maybe that deeper colour.

They have the cooler tones too if that works ;-D

All those sequins are making me crazy! I picture various forms of marine life ingesting the shiny plastic & dying miserable deaths! I seem to be evolving into a lunatic, obsessing with all of the plastic waste produced by the beauty industry!

I actually don’t toss them out for this reason! I started putting them in a jar to hold my brushes upright! Also, I had so many it was crazy so I gave them to my mom’s senior group and they do crafts with them! They used them in faux gingerbread houses this past Christmas lol!
