Clinique Even Better Refresh Hydrating and Repairing Foundation Sounds Appealing

Clinique Even Better Refresh Hydrating and Repairing Foundation ($32) is one of those products that draws you in with the name. I mean doesn’t refreshing and hydrating sounds fantastic in a foundation formula? As someone with dry skin it sounds brilliant to me!

This is a new full-coverage foundation that provides 24-hour wear (but really, who needs 24 hours of wear from foundation? If you do, you must have a mega party lifestyle! Haha!). It’s formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, peptides, and Salicylic Acid. According to Clinique it gives a poreless, younger look to skin that’s natural but still pigmented enough to cover imperfections.

It’s $32 and available in 27 shade selections.

I’d be curious to try it out as Clinique does do a good foundation from time to time that captures my eye!

What about you?

Clinique Even Better Refresh Hydrating and Repairing Foundation is available now!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I can’t seem to find a shade match in Clinique. Everytime I get a sample it ends up oxidizing and turning too orange or too pink on me. I really wanted to like their last glowy one but it just didn’t match after a half hour of wear.

I have this problem as well. I’m extremely fair, but neutral-undertoned, and Clinique just doesn’t make any true-neutral shades.

I have this foundation and it’s AWESOME! I think I got it for free during an Ulta promotion. Problem is the color, all wrong for me. But someday I’ll go pick out the right color because I really like this foundation.

I clicked over and was BF shocked to see that the first 18 shades ….of about ~24 are all described as fair or lighter. You hit medium at 19, and the ‘darker’ shades really do not exist. What is this, 1950? I would expect this foundation to be called out for poor shade range, but when I think of Clinique, I think of pale young things, rather than diversity. But, wow, is this a throwback and a step backwards for inclusion in EL products.

I’ll give it a try. Still missing their Perfectly Real foundation as it really did look perfectly real.
