Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Full Coverage Foundation SPF 50 for Summer 2019

Why am I getting all sorts of Urban Decay vibes from Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Full Coverage Foundation SPF 50? Urban Decay has used “Urban Defense” in a lot of their products and when I saw Maybelline’s new Dream Urban Cover Full Coverage Foundation I was like, “Ooo how very UD of them!”

I’m pretty impressed with the SPF level in this new full-coverage foundation however, I’m always on the fence with my foundation or moisturizer contains SPF. I prefer applying my own to be honest as I’m never really sure I’m applying enough when it is built into a formula. I mean, how much foundation do I need to apply for accurate coverage? I don’t apply a lot of foundation! Just a smidge down the sides of my nose and blended out. There’s no way I’ll get SPF 50 from that amount! So, yup, I sure do appreciate the high level but I likely won’t get the protection I need from it.

That being said this sounds intriguing but I always feel like full-coverage works best in the Fall or Winter and not so much in the Summer when most people tend to go more natural and lighter with coverage. They do promise a natural finish and I don’t doubt it as lately even the most pigmented foundations really do have a soft, demi-matte finish that look very natural! I’m curious to see if Maybelline’s new formula lives up to their lightweight, breathable finish promises!

Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Full Coverage Foundation SPF 50 is available in 17 shades and $12.99.

I was kinda excited until I saw Full Coverage – I’m with you: I feel like we all use a lighter version in the summer than we do in the fall/winter. But yeah, the high SPF is nice to see.

anxiously waiting to see reviews on this. there are a couple of reviews on youtube and they are all positive for dry skin who want dewy finish.
I will always use my own skincare spf, but I can use the extra coverage if it is in makeup!

going to order soon just wanted to see more swatches. my first guess is soft tan for my nc 40 skin. 😀

Ulta comment said dupe for It CC, but lighter & good for dry skin. I’m happy to see this although I’ll still happily pay the $38 for It Illumination CC as I use very little and it lasts & lasts.

I’m a full coverage kind of girl and I tried this foundation it’s very light weight and give you full coverage.. and I love this thing about it

got this last week, and it gives me good coverage and it’s more liquidy than the IT CC and while I love/d that product I rather like the less makeup look of the Maybelline , it’s more like the Chanel CC cream in texture

I generally like thinner liquidy foundations! I’m cool with more natural coverage if that gives me that fresh, natural look I’d be happy 😀

I really love the initial finish of this product!
it does leave you fresh and dewy and the color is a perfect match on me….BUTTTTT it is patchy by the end of the day and I am trying to figure out how to make it last atleast 8 hours when I leave work. (My skin is dry to combo, but not oily)

I have tried mac fix + and Tarte setting powder.

is anyone having that issue? and does anyone have a solution or recommendation?

I really want to make it work but if it doesn’t last throughout a work day, I ‘ll have to return.
