Sir John, Beyoncé’s rock star makeup artist, has unleashed the Lion King Makeup Collection on the world just a few short weeks before the film premieres in theaters! The collection launched on Saturday but much to my delight and surprise it’s available on Ulta.com! I actually ordered the eyeshadow palette from the Luminess Cosmetics website never for once believing it would be readily available on the mainstream market! The collection is online only at Ulta but none the less I’m glad to see it readily available other than the Luminess website!

Here’s a look at Luminess Cosmetics Lion King Collection as created by Sir John!

I love the look of the eye and face palettes, but I don’t think they’d work well on someone as pale as I am. Sad, because my ULTA 20% off code arrived this morning!

For once, a movie tie-in that looks well thought-out! Nothing that screams at me to buy it, but I appreciate a well-curated collection.

Oooh, what a pretty collection! The colors are so rich and earthy, and the packaging is stunning! I’ve heard of Luminesse, although I’ve never used their cosmetics, but if Sir John put his name on it, it should be good!

Apparently, there’s both Luminesse (Australian. You see it on Hautelook and Luminess (this brand.)) I read up on Sir John (his real name) and it’s fascinating. I agree w/Denise; probably too dark for me personally, but a rich selection for medium to darker skintones.

I have been sitting on my 20% coupon for a few days now, and when I saw your email with link to the Can’t Wait to Be Queen shadow palette I quickly clicked through and scooped it up! I’m definitely not someone who goes after the themed palettes (and honestly I’m not in the cult fan Disney following). However, the colors look so rich I couldn’t help myself. Admittedly the two colors that drew me in were The Meadow (rich green) and Sire (purple). Hopefully there’s not a ton of fallout since half of the palette has shimmer… we’ll see!

I think I’ve outgrown the entire Disney and cartoon collaboration thing! At one time I’d be excited for something like that but now I’m meh! This one just reached out to me because of the colors so I’m in the boat with you! Not much into The Lion King theme but love the shades ;-D I hope we like it!
