5 stars out of 5

I purchased the Colourpop Orange You Sweet Set when it launched and it included the Colourpop Juice World Juice World Brush Set that includes five essential brushes. I really don’t need more brushes but hey, it came with the set! If you do need some new brushes those this actually retails for $20 as an individual purchase which is a great deal as it works out to about $5 per brush and it contains some nice essentials for eyes and face.

I never really indulged in any of the Colourpop Brush Collection but I do think I got a brush for free when they originally launched the line and I did like it but I never felt the need to indulge in further brushes since my brush collection is pretty big already!

This set is a full-size selection of brushes that comes housed in a rather cute orange box!

You get the following makeup brushes:

  • Mini Duo Fiber Face Brush
  • Tapered Blending Brush
  • Medium Shader Brush
  • Small Pencil Brush
  • Larger Shader Brush

The brushes have white handles with ombre black and white bristles. After receiving them I immediately washed them and set them out to dry. During the washing they didn’t shed and they dried fairly quickly. The bristles were soft to begin with but after washing them they didn’t stiffen up and retained the shape and texture. The handles are pretty lightweight and flimsy but they seemed to hold strong after two washings (once before use and once after I used them).

The bristles feel soft but not so soft they are floppy and they pick up and hold color well. I had no issues using them to apply and blend my eyeshadow!

Overall, not too bad a set if you’re in need of some basic brushes that won’t kill your wallet! I’d only change one thing about them! The handles! Can we get some cute orange handles to match the theme of the collection?

Colourpop Juice World Juice World Brush Set is available now.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m totally with you on wishing the handles were orange. It was a huge letdown when I was expecting to see tangerine handles and only saw generic white. I guess they wanted to match their boxes/branding, but orange would have made them stand out more.

It would be so so cute if the handles matched the collection!

Hi! I totally agree with you about the quality of the brushes. They are decent brushes, but I feel like you could probably get a better deal on some bh cosmetics brushes that are as good or better than the Colourpop brushes. This brush bundle looks ok, but I am glad that I went with the bundle that came with the UH-HUH Honey collection. It came with
    Tapered Blending Brush
    Blending Brush
    Medium Shader Brush
    Pencil Brush
    Angled Eye Brush
    Medium Dome Brush
So you get one more brush for the same price. One thing about my order, they sent me a small detail brush instead of the medium dome brush. That was fine, I have plenty of domed brushes. The detail brush is supposed to be used for nose contouring and such but I like to use it when I am using things like cream eyeshadow or for eyeshadow primer.

too true too true or coastal scents! They are nice but nothing I’d likely go out of my way to haul. But at $5 each not bad either. Hm weird they screwed up because didn’t it come in an individual box like mine did? Hey at least it worked out for you though 🙂
