4 stars out of 5

Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded (On sale $4) is a new pressed blush that’s available in 12 shades that recently launched for Summer 2019. Ironically, Makeup Revolution calls these sheer and I can confirm they are anything but sheer!

I’m sort on this blush kick lately! I’ve been snatching up any and all new blushes. I’ve been particularly obsessed with trying to find good glow-y or shimmery blushes! When I ran across Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded I was disappointed they were matte but still very impressed with the vibrant selection of shades that the promo images showed. I actually sat and waited a bit since Ulta had some shades but not all twelve plus the ones they did have were all of stock (and still are!) but Makeup Revolution site does have them in stock but I just wanted to points from Ulta so I waited a bit to do an order. Sadly, they never did come in stock so I settled on a few shades they did have. They are actually on sale today at Ulta for $4.20 (originally $5) but again, the stock is sort of low and they only show three shades are available. If you see a shade you really want you might just want to get them directly from Makeup Revolution as all 12 are available.

These come housed in a rose gold compact that sort of reminds me of Milani’s packaging. It’s lightweight, a little cheap, but at this price it might not matter. Each blush is 0.26 oz in size and they are described as a sheer velvet pressed powder blush. None of that is accurate in my opinion.

A lot of people describe the blush as being dry and chalky in reviews I’ve seen online. I have drier skin which made me a bit wary to dry these as I didn’t want a dry, chalky blush clinging to my dry cheeks. The blush is quite firm, not powdery, and yes, they do run drier but I was fairly impressed with the application and blendability. The pigment is outrageous! It’s really quite vibrant so a little goes a very, very long way. If you have a deeper, more tanned skin tone and you need a blush that’s vibrant and pigmented these will fit the bill for you! They apply and blend very easily for something that feels a bit dry but I didn’t notice any chalkiness. They actually applied quite easily and very smoothly and evenly. I was concerned they’d go on patchy due to the fact they do feel and look a dry when swatches but nope, they applied quite nicely. The color lasts quite well and didn’t fade for several hours of wear!

They are made in China and they do have a little bit of a odd fragrance but you have to stick your nose right into them to smell anything.

All in all, Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloaded was a pleasantly little budget surprise! If they fact they are Made in China doesn’t bother you I’d recommend checking these out for yourself. You might be pleasantly surprised at how fun these are!
