5 stars out of 5

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer ($10) is proof you can have a pigmented concealer that’s hydrating and non-drying! Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer released a few short days ago in a range of 16 shades and is a follow up to Makeup Revolution’s bestselling Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer. There will be 50 shades in total available from my understanding and those will launch directly on Makeup Revolution’s website next week!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer is a welcome addition to my concealer collection as it is a hydrating formula that worked beautifully well under my drier eyes. Honestly, I never had an issue with the Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer but I can easily see Conceal & Hydrate Concealer replacing it for me.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer is $12, 0.45 oz in size, and it comes with a large sponge applicator for application. Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer is $7 and 0.11 oz in size which makes the new formula a better value at the larger size. However, keep in mind there’s a supersize version of Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer that’s $10 three times the size.

Both formulas are super creamy, pigmented, easy to blend, and provide flawless coverage. As I mentioned above I never had an issue with the original formula and I love it but I have to admit I love the Conceal & Hydrate Concealer even more. It seems creamier for some reason, a touch more pigmented, and very, very hydrating! It contains hyaluronic acid but that’s pretty low on the list of ingredients none the less it feels quite moisturizing to me and didn’t settle into my finer lines nor make my eyes look dry! It blends so very easily and has plenty of pigment to cover puffiness, finer lines, dark circles, and other imperfections. It also wears like a champ! I had no issues getting through a full day without it fading or caking up. The coverage lasted very well in the warmer weather and my under eye area looked fresh, awake, and brighter.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer Swatches (Shade C8)

I choose C8 which is the shade that works for me from the original Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer collection (the shades seem identical when swatched side by side). This shade was created for medium skin tones with a warm undertone but to me it’s more of a light medium neutral. Going up a shade or two can’t hurt because it seems like they went lighter with shades so people can easily contour using this formula. It quite reminds me of Tarte Shape Tape in terms of coverage and formula but I think both versions of Makeup Revolution’s concealers are much more creamier and hydrating in comparison.

I don’t meet a lot of hydrating concealers I love. Hydrating concealers tend to excel at being moisturizing but fail at being pigmented or even long wearing. In this case, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer pretty much ticks all the boxes for excellent coverage, blendability, wear time, and formula. They have successfully created a concealer that drier eyes that need extra concealing power will love.

This formula gets a 5 out of 5 stars and a Muse Approved rating.

Great job Makeup Revolution! Loves this stuff.

Where to buy

Ulta Makeup Revolution

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer is a new hydrating concealer that’s infused with hyaluronic acid. It’s 0.45 oz in size, with a larger sponge applicator for application, and priced at $10. This formula is super creamy, easy to blend, and has a hydrating formula that didn’t settle into finer lines. It’s very pigmented and a little goes a very long way to conceal imperfections on your face or most importantly under eyes. The coverage lasted very well for me under my eyes and didn’t crease and wore for a solid eight hours without fading or caking up! It’s an excellent concealer worth exploring!

I got one in the latest Ulta order, YTA. Unlike the older formula, there were very few shade choices. Think I got what you ordered, as it was the only lt to med shade…unlike the 3 I got in the other. Thrilled that this one will be excellent. The older is my fave, far better than RCC. I’ll be sorry if U only carries a selection of the entire range.

I’ve been wearing it today and I love it so much! It blended like a dream and it looks fantastic.

As someone with oily skin, concealer tends to cake up or look really dry around my eyes. For the price, I think I’m going to have to try this!

Omg that sounds so good??? Have you tried Maybelline’s Fit Me concealer before? I use that one bc it blends out really well so I don’t always have to wear foundation with it. I have super dry skin, so I’m always on the lookout for non-drying/cakey stuff!

If you’ve used it before, how would you say this compares? Do you use it sometimes on blemishes at all? Is it still hydrating? Sorry for so many questions!

And hyaluronic acid is really low on ingredient lists because you only need 0.01% ~ 2% for it to work (it gels water up making it a lot thicker). Typically serums and such have it at 1% I believe..

    How does this smell?
I found the original one to have a lingering scent that bothered me

    • Isabella Muse

Not bad! The new foundation however, smells like a magic marker!

  • Hannah

Haaaay Muse, have you tried CSWS concealer? I find that it’s lightweight yet highly pigmented. I always found Tarte Shape Tape and the MUR original concealer thick, heavy, and very sticky, how does this new incarnation feel in terms of thickness?

    • Isabella Muse

I haven’t! How are the shades? NYX always confuses me with their shade range! This is thick but super creamy and spreads easily not sticky and not heavy once blended 😀

  • Brittany

Where’s the swatches? Did you only swatch C8?

(Thank you for the detailed review btw)

    • Isabella Muse

I swatched the one shade I purchased which was C8 (there are photos of it in this post). My pleasure 🙂
