Hourglass Holiday 2019 Launched Today and It’s Gorgeous

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

It’s here! The Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lighting Edit Face Palette and Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lighting Blush Palette launched today at beautylish.com and sephora.com! I’m waffling between ordering both or just the blush palette. I’m so weird because I have a massive love hate relationship with Ambient Lighting Blush but I’m always so damn drawn to the palettes! Ugh!

What to do?

What would you do?

There’s also a new Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow Collection that’s $46 and includes three shades in:

  • Foil: gold with a glitter finish
  • Molten (new): plum violet with a glitter finish
  • Ray: deep champagne with a glitter finish

That I do know I want but the palettes I’m still deciding! I might go for the blush palette now and get the face palette later. I’m also worried it’ll sell out before I grab it.

Making makeup decisions like this stresses me out 😉

Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lighting Edit Face Palette $80
Shades:

  • Ambient Lighting Ambient Powder in Dim Light, Diffused Light, and Iridescent Strobe Light
  • Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in Iridescent Rose and Sublime Flush
  • Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Eternal Bronze Light

Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lighting Blush Palette $58
Shades:

  • Ambient Lighting Blush in Surreal Effect and Infinite Flush
  • Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in Brilliant Nude and Lucid Glow

Are you grabbing anything from the Hourglass Holiday 2019 Collection?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I would skip on all of it if I was you. I’ve seen horrible reviews on you tube about the entire hourglass holiday collection this year. Personally speaking I find hourglass to be WAY overpriced and Extremely over hyped.

    • Isabella Muse

awww that’s a shame 🙁 I got the blushes and shadows just now! Oh well ;-D hopefully it isn’t a bust!

      • Mary Brenner

I hope you enjoy it in good health! There is certainly enough makeup out there to keep us all happy and not everyone is going to like the same product despite the you tubers telling us we NEEEEEEED it!!

        • Isabella Muse

thank you m dear! LOL ;-D True! I actually always like trying something for myself even when stuff gets a poor review, because you just never know!

          • Mary Brenner

Exactly!!! I do look forward to hearing if you liked it. I just did some damage picking up the too faced holiday items that are on sale today! I know that’s a brand that some have issues with but their shadows work well for me

          • Isabella Muse

Thanks girl! ;-D I sure hope I do! Yay! This year the TF holiday stuff is actually quite lovely! So far I’m liking what I picked up!

ITs the packaging getting the bad reviews, not the product itself. Personally bought the blush a quad, sure I wish it was in the more luxurious traditional bronze hourglass packaging but I’m more interested in the product itself.

I actually love the Hourglass blushes so the only dilemma for me is do I get one or both?! I think the blush one and then take my chances on the face palette.

    • Isabella Muse

I purchased the blush one and the eyeshadows now. I’ll hold off a LITTLE longer for the face ;-D

Ordered the eye set first thing this morning lol I really wanted it and couldn’t chance waiting for the sale. The blush palette I’m waffling on. I’ll wait for the sale and if its still available I’ll probably buy but if not I wont be crushed or anything. Sometimes if I’m not sure about something I sit back and let the universe decide for me. It always makes the right choice whereas sometimes I do not lol

    • Isabella Muse

me too! I didn’t hesitate on those! I got the blush palette as well but waiting on the face palette! LOL good plan girl good plan!

  • Karen

I ordered both the day they came out on the Hourglass site. Don’t need the face palette but they are my favorite powders ever and I knew I would regret not getting them. And I love them all! The new bronzer in the face palette is the best one yet

  • Nicole

I got the Ghost blush palette and it’s underwhelming. It’s very small and one of the blushes has no color. It’s basically a highlighter.

  • Lauren

I was extremely excited for this years face palette. Once the colors and the mix of old to new shades were announced, the price wasn’t as hard to swallow. However the packaging is ruining it for me. The frosted plastic tupperware bottom has cheapened what is a beautiful product. Can anyone else not stomach spending that much money when in previous years it was absolutely stunning. I adored the metallic millennial pink from last year!

    • Isabella Muse

The outside is lovely but I’m really not understanding the inside at all!

  • Deborah

I already ordered the face palette. I love Hourglass and I don’t have one of these holiday palettes. I have eyed these for several years and this one is 100% perfect for me! It’s seems cooler and more pink so I had to get it!
I was really contemplating the blush palette but then I saw Laura Mercier’s new blush palette on Sephora’s site and I think I want that! It has 3 blushes and 3 highlights. It looks very pink too!

  • K

I picked up the face palette. It will be my first hourglass item. I’m looking to trying the finishing powders and just having an all in one compact for travel. I already am
in love with the Clinique cheek pops so I’m not expecting that much from the hourglass blushes, which my sister says is normal. The plastic doesn’t bother me as I don’t have the prior years launches.
