Korean Brand Innisfree Hits Sephora

Innisfree Mineral Rose Marbling Blusher 7

Korean Brand Innisfree is now available at sephora.com. Well, not all of Innisfree! It seems limited to a select amount of skincare but no color cosmetics. I think this is a weird and crazy move for Innisfree and likely a limited engagement thing as well.

First off, if you live in Manhattan and you hit up the Union Square Farmer’s Market I’m sure one of your stops is Innisfree. I know I hit it up before I go to the Farmer’s Market. It’s my little ritual to wander around the store and swatch and play. The girl’s there area really nice and aren’t aggressive plus the reward system is pretty nice. That’s why I’m not understanding why they would want to launch at Sephora as from my understanding Sephora brand contracts are pretty harsh. It’s been speculate debate that OCD Cosmetics’ demise was due to their launch at Sephora.

If you don’t live in Manhattan? Still no issues! You can snag what you need from the brand’s website. It just doesn’t seem cost effective for them to launch at Sephora. But I guess the exposure will be great for them. However, like most K-Beauty brands I suspect this will be a limited engagement. Within a year, they’ll likely clearance out and disappear from Sephora’s site forever.

Or maybe they’ll thrive. We’ll see!

You can buy Innisfree now at Sephora.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I saw this brand while scouring for new skincare items – any recommendations?

also random but the last time i placed an order last week there was NO OPTION to add samples. so i checked today out of curiosity and it’s the same. there are no samples to choose from, it’s not even an option. only things are redeeming rewards through bizarre or coupon code…..are they doing away with samples completely???

    has anyone else noticed this?

    • Isabella Muse

Yes! just listed a few above 🙂 take a peek! A lot of people have said as such! Not sure what is going on with samples lately! 🙁

Excited! I look forward to seeing Innisfree products at local Sephora soon and I really hope they thrive. It is a good thing that they are one of the subsidiary companies of Amorepacific Corp. I was hoping to see their make up lines as thier new season launches look fabulous all the time. Who knows? We might see them at Sephora in the future.

They just opened a free standing Innisfree store here in Toronto at Yorkdale Mall! Anything you highly recommend? Thanks

    Cheers Lisa

Hi Lisa! I love the single eyeshadows, they are lovely! Also, Firming Energy Essence, the new juju cherry blossom is lovely, Essential oil, firming energy oil, Nourishing Cream Ginger Honey (great in the Winter), lip balms 🙂

Since AmorePacific is the parent company of Innisfree then I suspect the Innisfree deal is just part of the overall contract they have with AmorePacific. Since they also own Laneige and that’s also in Sephora … I’m guessing this is all part of the same deal. Going to the Innisfree shops in NYC is one of my favorite things to do when I’m in town! I’m looking forward to checking out the newest one at the Oculus.

You’re prob right but I don’t see it lasting long at Sephora but who knows! I didn’t even know Innisfree opened at WWTCM!

    good morning, isabella!
just a quick unrelated comment that goes back to a previous conversation we had about sephora and coupons targeted to winning back former customers…
i got a 20% off coupon in my email from them today “since you missed our summer bonus event”. it’s good this weekend only. for MOI only.
    interesting, no?

    • Isabella Muse

Ha! more targeted offers eh? They really want to push you into spending Jill! 😀

Maybe they should have worked with Ulta. Ulta seems to be increasing the KB, though the color cosmetics do not seem to be doing that well. I only use 2 Innisfrees, with only one (the volcanic clay that is totally basic…and legendary K beauty) featured on S. I think that the green tea seed is probably their most popular line at present. I might try the cica cream, but just got the sensibio one at the beautylish sale. So, despite having an interest in Innisfree, think I’d rather cruise Amazon and the Innisfree US site.

    • Isabella Muse

Ulta also keeps KBeauty brands on longer! I agree it would have been a better fit than Sephora! and I also agree, I’d rather just shop the Innisfree website or go to the store versus sephora!

Are there KB color cosmetics on Ulta? I’d be interested in purhcasing but I don’t remember seeing any.

they seem to be more skincare focused but Too Cool for School has some color!
