I am SO happy to see Urban Decay Scented Sparkling Body Powder returning for the Holiday 2019 season. I just want to put it out there that I have ALL the original powders. No, I don’t use them! That would be sort of gross since they are 10 years old or so but I do have them. Cherry, lime, cake, red hot, cocoa, marshmallow I have every single one that Urban Decay every did! Some people don’t even remember the originals but I have them all.

These bring back so many good makeup memories! It was a time makeup was really fun and super exciting! I’m eager to revisit with these. I imagine I won’t love them as I once did as I think I might have outgrown sparkling powders but some part of me still wants them. The original versions were actually flavored powders but these are just scented.

Urban Decay relaunched Honey Scented Sparkling Body Powder and Cherry Scented Sparkling Body Powder and added a new Heat version as well. Heat smells like Red Hot from back in the day which was a yummy cinnamon flavor/scent (it smelled like Big Red Gum)!

Each powder has a big puff for application so you can gently dab these on your arms, chest, or even legs. I used to use them as highlighters on my face and even on my eyes as an eyeshadow.

I can’t recall the original price but I think they were $25 each. They are now $34 now.

I gotta admit I want them all!

Urban Decay Scented Sparkling Body Powder are available now at Nordstrom and soon at Ulta and Sephora.

I loved the original UD sparkling powders when they were out and am thrilled to see these back, although I have my originals still too. Weird that they are only scented but I guess I never licked them before anyways. I always wanted to get my hands on Red Hot and that was one I was never able to so PLEASE tell me when you get the new ones if Heat is exactly the same as the old Red Hot! I’m tempted to get them all if they’re just like the originals were. Wish Marshmallow was available again!

Now, if UD would bring back their flavored Lip Gunks I’d be thrilled!!!

neither did I lol! but they were edible as I recall ;-D I will I will! ;-D I hope it is because the original was really great! I wish Marshmallow was back too and cocoa! Cocoa was awesome! Maybe!!!!!!! ya never know ;D

Yes, Cocoa was great too (they used it in Mean Girls if I recall) but I also LOVED the Gingersnap body powder. You’re right, you never know especially for the fact that they actually brought them back so fingers crossed. I would love to own Cake too. I do wish they would of brought back Cherry Lemonade instead of just Cherry for this.

Also, yes they were flavored and btw, just checked the ingredients for the new ones and there’s definitely sodium saccharin sweetener in the ingredients list so I guess it is still lickable but maybe they’re just not marketing them that way this time around?

Another interesting thing about this release is they all have the same packaging. Do you remember with the originals the controversy around the differentiating ounce sizes because of the different shaped boxes they came in? Any way…let’s hope this is the start to many more flavors coming!!

oh my gosh a lightbulb just went off in my head! It was cherry lemonade! I forgot! I thought it was cherry! I really need to haul my out of the dusky archives and revisit them lol! It could be Nordstrom failed to list that they were flavored! I haven’t checked UD’s own site as they are yet listed but I’d be curious if they mentioned them being edible/lickable! YES! the lime one was a taller cylinder, marshmallow was a square box, and others had a small squat circular container! Do you remember they released a little trio of shakers? I have that still too haha! ;-D

I can’t recall the original price though but it was cheaper than it is now that’s for sure! I really do hope they do more. They were such a fun product!

Maybe they got rid if the edible aspect, as so many people have allergies to saccharine, and ingredients aren’t always disclosed on all websites. Just a thought.
