Lorac x Rachel Zoe for Holiday 2019 arrives today with an early look at the collaboration between the fashion designer and the brand. Lorac’s Instagram shows four shades of a Rachael Zoe x Lorac Hollywood Glamour Mini Eyeshadow Palette that includes six eyeshadows each. Ulta.com got one of these palettes so far and it’s priced at a very reasonable $15. This shade is called Effortless Glamour but as I said there are three other palettes! I’m not sure if those palettes will be exclusive to Lorac’s website or launching on Ulta at some point or maybe at Kohl’s and HSN. We’ll have to wait and see!

This quite a different collection for Lorac as around the Holidays they tend to release one of their mega palettes. I tend to look forward to those as their eyeshadows are so soft and silky! Powdery, yes, but still super silky! I also, love their lipgloss sets! They are always on my Christmas wish list.

Anyway, this is the initial launch for Lorac x Rachel Zoe. There should be more items to follow including a new sparkling highlighter but now let’s see what Ulta has for us today!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Lorac lost me, after the transition to Markwins. I think they have no idea where to position the brand, maybe the higher end of masstige? Collabs, where they used to have fun themes? I got the holiday 18 palette and give it one out of two thumbs down. From swatching, I think the formula has gotten more powdery on the matte side, and a much more difficult blend, on the shimmer side. Their glitters need glue and are too fussy. Mostly, I miss the themes. A few of the circa 2017 things remain online, somewhere. I hate to see a once favorite go in my rear view mirror.

I’m such a sucker for the mega pro that I’m waiting to see if one drops this year before doing my super Ulta points redemption haul. If it doesn’t, I will totally console myself with the mini eyeshadow palette. Realizing I have about 3 palettes with those colors…but this one is travel size. And I love the formula.

I so would have preferred a Mega Pro 5!

All the more reason to cherish the 3 (yes I have a problem) Mega Pros I do have.

That quite cool looking neutral quad looks lovely – although I hope there is no ‘non eye safe’ glitter in there…
