Smashbox Cosmic Celebrations Star Power Face + Eyeshadow Palette for Holiday 2019 launched today and that reminds me I re-watched Center Stage because I’m a dork. When I was 8 my mom watched Romeo and Juliet with me for the first time. My first crush was when I was 5 years old and it was on my friend’s older brother. His name was Max and I’d literally follow him all around the playground. I think that classifies as stalking nowadays! Ha! But my second and my third crush belong to Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting. I wanted to be Olivia Hussey when I grew up. She was so beautiful, so perfect, so Juliet! And Leonard Whiting with his captivating eyes and perfect smile! Swoon! I think that film was what made me the bookworm I am today. But the most important moral of this story is my mom knew how deeply I loved the film and took me to see Romeo and Juliet at Lincoln Center a few short months after and I fell in love again but this time with ballet. Growing up I never took a ballet class in my life but I was absolutely obsessed with it and again and again and again I begged my mother to take me to the ballet. I was blessed to see quite a few ballets in my youth including the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and many others in my adult life. I am a very proud American Ballet Theater Golden Circle Member in my older age and I can honestly say the magic of ballet is still as fresh as it was the first time I saw Romeo and Juliet.

Anyway, it’s Fall and in the Fall we watch Center Stage! Does anyone know if this got a Raspberry Award because truly it’s one of the worst movies ever but I do so enjoy it! The Smashbox Cosmic Celebrations Star Power Face + Eyeshadow Palette brought to mind Cosmic Girl by Jamiroquai because Jamiroquai woven through so damn much of that film. By the way who remembers when Jay Kay was on The Naked Chef? Ha! Anyway, every single Fall I sit down and I watch Center Stage because ballet…!!!!

See? You like my long-winded off topic stories dontcha? 🙂

We already saw some of the Smashbox Holiday 2019 Collection sets in a prior post I did but the Cosmic Celebrations Star Power Face + Eyeshadow Palette just recently launched! About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Muse, I LOVE Center Stage. It’s so cheesy, but it’s dramatic and fun, with great music and dancing. It’s a classic! I have not watched it in a long time—now I’m going to have to remedy that. Did you ever see the sequel they did? I haven’t watched it.

oh my god! My soul mate! Let’s hug and sit around the camp fire singing Kum ba yah! I knew there was someone out there that loved it as much as I do! ;-D Hahahahaha! Yes! There’s also a part 3 but nothing beats the original! I love the music! Also, mega crush on Ethan! I’m actually met him, like face to face!!!!!!!!! lol! bestest movie ever though! Please go snuggle up and rewatch it ;-D I’d come join you if I could hehehehehe!

I AM SO JEALOUS YOU MET ETHAN!! It would be so fun to watch it with you! My friends and I reference it quite often. I’m going to have to check the streaming platforms and see if i can watch this weekend. I really need to see it again and now!

LOL! It was rather embarrassing I had no idea what to say and I think my mouth was hanging open a little as he talked lol! ;-D YESSSSSSSS! make it a Center Stage weekend hehe!

I love Center Stage! I love that dance at the end. The motorcylcle coming on stage. I have a greatl love for “bad” great movies of all kinds.
Center Stage Turn It Up with Kenny Wormald. He is such a good dancer.
How do we feel about White Nights? Another huge love of mine. The dance with Mikhail Baryshnikov & Gregory Hines with MB so strong & controlled & GH more loosey goosey, but a beautiful dancer.

LOL YES YES YES! all of that 😀 White Knights is amazing! ;-D I embarrassed to admit how many times I’ve watched it lol!

  • Lara / the glossarie.

Just popping by to say that I saw Center Stage thrice in the theaters and a billion times since. It forever has my heart. PS – Anyone remember when Jody Sawyer did a McDonald’s commercial in 2012?
