Treat Yourself To Something Special at Sephora

It feels like the countdown to Christmas has begun! It’s an exiting time, a fun one, but also, a really stressful one when you’re to find that perfect gift. Pre-Holiday shopping I admit I do treat myself to a pretty makeup bauble or two at Sephora. I feel like a little retail therapy on myself always makes shopping for others a little less stressful. As soon as November 1st rolls around I’ll start hunting out presents for my sister and soon after the rest of my family and friends.

In preparation for the busy season ahead I decided to treat myself to a few things I wanted that popped up at Sephora. Something for me, not something that I needed to purchase and blog about but something I wanted for myself. Those purchases always seem a little rare as the first thing entering my mind when I see something new pop up in the world of beauty is, “Do my readers want to hear a review about this?” Asking myself if I want it for me and only me comes much later down the line.

Of course, with the responsibility of sharing this little haul I also expect all of you to tell me just what it is you’ve treated yourself to recently! And give me a heads up about what’s on your Sephora Holiday Event wish list!

First off, I really needed those new Huda New Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes! Did anyone haul them? They are just as stunning in person as they are in promo pictures not to mention really quite affordable at $29 each! I got the Nude Rich and Nude Medium shades but not I’m sort of wanting Nude Light as well! I know we are all bracing for the Holidays but these are my ideal Fall shades! Beautiful wines, just turned coppery leave shades, they hold nine gorgeous shades that speak autumn to me. Plus both the Nude Rich and Nude Medium Palettes work easily together to create looks or individually! Stay tuned! I’ll have a full review and swatches up shortly.

Also, I recently reviewed it but I treated myself to the Hourglass Ghost Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. I love Ambient Lighting Powder but the blush I sort of have a love/hate relationship with! I recently reviewed it and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Full disclosure, the packaging sort of threw me for a curve ball but the blushes are gorgeous! Soft, silky, and without being overwhelming and give a pleasant flush to my cheeks!

And finally last but never least I’m on the hunt for the next greatest eye cream. Granted, I’m fairly happy with my eye potions and lotions I use at the moment but with Winter coming I’m all about digging up something bigger and better than ever. My search lead me to BiossanceSqualane + Marine Algae Eye Cream! Has anyone tried it? I’m in the early testing phases and so far it seems pretty good. Squalane is in everything at the moment thanks to its ability to hydrate and help to restore the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Most people recommendation squalane oil is best used over your regular moisturizer to seal in moisture but this eye cream has it built right in. We’ll see how it holds up against the cold New York winter!

I created this post in collaboration with Sephora but all the products I selected were of my own choosing and all the thoughts I shared are my own as well. Don’t forget to join Sephora’s Beauty Insider Rewards program especially with the Holiday season on the horizon as you don’t want to miss out on any beauty exclusives. About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Happy Halloween! Wow, those Huda palettes are just gorgeous. You’re starting to make me a believer. I purchased the Hourglass Ghost Palette a couple weeks ago. I heard they are rereleasing the Unlocked in the Ghost packaging November 1st! I wish I had waited. While I love the Ghost palette I wish I picked up the blush quad instead since now I’m going to cave and get the Unlocked. I missed out on it last year and have regretted it ever since. Thanks for you recommendations!

I’ve been a longtime lurker on here but never posted. I’m just shy haha. I started a beauty blog because you inspired me with your honest reviews and to be honest I’m just obsessed with makeup. 🙂
