It’s here! Who hauled it? The Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette arrived yesterday and I snatched it up like my life depended on it. I know, I know! You’re thinking, “NOT ANOTHER NUDE EYESHADOW PALETTE!” But I couldn’t resist. I’m actually pretty proud of Too Faced lately as they’ve been releasing some decent stuff. For a minute there things felt like they were rapidly going downhill but I can definitely get on board with the Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette.

The palette is inspired by Born this Way Foundation and contains shade that are supposed to enhance the natural hues of your complexion and bring out the radiance in of your skin tone. There are 16 shades in three different finishes. I haven’t been this excited about a nude palette since Urban Decay released the first Naked Eyeshadow Palette. It’s just a really nice assortment of browns and yes, I probably have 500 shades like this already but I’m still wanting this one.

Shades:

  • Swan
  • Glistening Snow
  • Shimmering Pearl
  • Seashell
  • Nude
  • Sparkling Sand
  • Rose Gold
  • Petal
  • Warm Rose
  • Sparkling Rum
  • Golden Light
  • Maple
  • Cocoa
  • Sugared Chestnut
  • Truffle
  • Sparkling Sable

Along with the Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette they also released a Born This Way Turn Up The Light Highlighting Palette. I can easily skip this one but if you’re a highlighter girl or guy it might be appealing! This little palette was released in four shade selections representing skin tones from Light to Deep. Each palette contains three shades that can be used on different places of the face to add light and glow.

Too Faced Spring 2020 is available early at Ulta and Too Faced directly and arrives at Sephora on March 8th.

Will you be indulging in any of the new items?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I snatched it up too! I saw that it was coming out a couple of weeks ago and was stalking the website since then. As soon as I saw it, I bought it in a hot minute! I don’t keep up with a lot of the gossip and stuff but there’s seems to be so much hate going on with this brand and what they supposedly did to some Youtuber/Influencer. I hope this one is good because I really like their Chocolate eyeshadow line and although another “neutral” palette..it fits me better than some neon colored, glitter loving palette.

    • Isabella Muse

Oh that I didn’t see! Now what is going on with them? They tend to have some serious issues over there with PR and the way they treat customers/influencers :-/ That’s pretty sad! I am totally with you! I really can’t do neon or glitter much anymore and this is right in my wheel house! Totally hit pan on many of the Naked shades ;-D it was just the ultimate nude palette imho! 😀

      • kjh

Not that I follow much guru gossip, but I think it was about how horridly Jerrod’s sister treated NikkieTutorials when she came out as transgendered. Suspect it came up on my apple suggested stories, as I have followed gender abuse issues.

        • Isabella Muse

I’m so OUT of the loop now I have to go google and see what happened :-/

  • Victoria

And it’s so funny you said you haven’t been this decided about a neutral palette since UD’s Naked one! I finally hit pan on a lot of those shades and since they are discontinued this is exactly what will be replacing my Naked palette LOL

  • Mary Brenner

I bought it! I LOVE nude eyeshadow and I always have good luck with too faced. My go to look is bright lip or cheek and nude eyes!! Never enough nude eye shadows in my opinion!!!!!

  • kimkats

Nope, gonna pass on that. Looks so much like the Maybelline Nudes of New York – I doubt anyone could tell the difference once applied. It’s pretty but I have the Nudes one, so that saves me some $$ 🙂

I don’t own much makeup and I’m looking to invest in a good neutral eyeshadow palette!I’m a minimalist girl and just need a few good palettes in my life at a time. So I can’t wait for your review on this palette!! I’m warm-toned. I find the original Naked palette lean more towards cool so the colors looked ashy on me unfortunately. How’s the pigmentation, and are the shimmer shades sparkly or metallic? Thank you for your helpful reviews! Long time fan here!! ❤️

      • Isabella Muse

Hi Taylor! I think it’ll make a great pick for a minimal makeup user ;-D I haven’t tried it yet so can’t speak for pigment. I’m still waiting on my Ulta order! as soon as I try will share my thoughts ;-D Thank you SO much for being such a long time fan! I greatly appreciate it <3!

      • Taylor N.

Sorry, I accidentally posted a reply to Kimkats instead of my own comment thread! Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your reviews!

Oh it’s ok 😀 <3! thank you so much Taylor <3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're lovely! Your comment made my day!

This does look pretty, but Colourpop’s Bare Necessities 30 pan palette has all of these colors and it’s a better value.

    • Traci

Unfortunately, my Bare Necessities palette was very hit and miss. Some of the colors are so hard pressed that I get almost no color payoff at all. TF formulas have generally worked well for me. I’m trying to resist the urge to pick this one up.

      • Victoria

I agree with the Bare Necessities palette. I de-potted them and only saved the ones that worked well. I just wish I could have a full palette I loved without de-potting it!

  • Bella

it looks beautiful. I want to swatch it first at Ulta and I want to check out the highlighter!

  • Deborah

It’s so pretty! I’m waiting for swatches. I don’t want any more warm palettes. I hope it is truly neutral, meaning both warm and cool toned people can wear it.

  • Susan

Interested in the eye shadow palette if I can see accurate swatches. Looks totally different from web site to web site. Also wondering if a lot of the shades are already in some of TF’s older Chocolate Bar palettes. These rose golds though….

  • genevieve

Wow – this new range is sensational. I can see why you snatched up the eye palette – it’s gorgeous. And those highlighting palettes look pretty perfect too.

  • Amyan

I usually wait for your review before purchasing, but I couldn’t wait to get this one…. for a busy mom like myself that still love to look put together this looks amazing!!!! The color scheme is so well done, it’s like you don’t even have to think = super quick looks! And for once I can use every single shade in the whole palette!!!! So excited!!!!!!!!! Keep up the great work sweet Muse, I’ve been following from years this his my first comment because I am just so thrilled about this palette lol
