Hi! Just Over Here Taking Your Pulse!

Good Morning!

Happy Monday! I’m just checking in and seeing how you’re doing out there. How’s everyone feeling today? I hope this post finds you and your family safe and healthy. Eat all the snackies, watch all the TV shows, and just be safe at home if you can.

If you can’t be home still be safe in everything you do while you’re working or outside today!

I’m sending all my positive vibes and love your way.

Let’s make Monday as stress and anxiety-free as we can.

Love you all.

Remember, you’re a strong human.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I’m a nurse in Seattle……(ground zero they call it) I worked 2 20 hour shifts over the weekend.. I’m tired as hell but so far I’m healthy…..I never get sick I mean I had a baby cold like 5 years ago but I’m
Lucky that my immune system is a champ.. I pray this comes to an end soon for all our sakes.

    Stay safe everyone!!

    • Isabella Muse

Thank you mary for being out there. You’re lucky! My own immune system sucks! I swear someone sneezes in another state and I get a cold! Be careful out there! Sending all my good vibes your way!

      • Mary Brenner

You take good care of yourself lady. Keep calm and carry on with caution is my new favorite saying.
This too shall pass we will all get through this if it at times it doesn’t seem so.

        • Isabella Muse

absolutely a good saying ;D I totally agree! it will pass! It’s going to take time and it’s scary right now but we’ll get there! We’re strong and resourceful!

Thank you for your service! Nursing never gets the honor they deserve!!

    • genevieve

How fantastic are the many nurses and doctors that are working around the clock to provide the healthcare for so many in these difficult times. You are all legends. I hope you get some well needed rest Mary to recharge your batteries. Take care.

My son and I are safe at home. We already homeschool so it’s business as usual for us. My husband, however, had to go back to work today. He works on an Air Force base and is considered mission essential. Not going to pretend I’m not nervous about it. And I just found out my best friend’s husband is being tested for the virus – they both work in the medical field and have two young kids. Trying to stay positive but my emotions are high. Thanks for your post. <3

    • Isabella Muse

Aw Rachael! Try to stay positive! Keep yourself busy while he is at work to keep yourself from worrying. I hope everything works out for you! I’ll be thinking of you! Sending good vibes!

Safety and kindness back to you and all your readers! Thank you! We can’t change our situation, but we can help how we deal with it by showing a positive attitude.

    • Isabella Muse

the same to you Jana! 🙂 stay well! Absolutely! We need to be hopeful and positive!

Funny how ten years ago, I was desperate for a job, and now I have two deemed essential. I’ve become fairly non-social as I aged, and staying home with a couple of FBFs (furry best friends) sounds like heaven. Also, have no problem going way low buy, listening to podcasts doing housework, overeating, reading, or catching up on tv. I may be >70 with some weird immune thing, but so far, so good. Have Lysol, will travel. Love up your dear chihuahua, and do as much business as you can over the phone. Stay well and keep up your usual good spirits.

Hi! Thanks for checking in…I’m worried but hanging in there. Since the Museum has always been online, I don’t really have to do anything differently. Grateful to be able to work at home so I still get paid – so many people are losing income! 🙁 Hope you’re doing okay.

    • Isabella Muse

Hey there! I am too MM, I am too! But I’m hanging in there as well and keeping as positive as I can be 🙂 We’ll be ok! I am very confident in that! It might take a while but we’ll get there. I’m glad your job is safe! Thank god!

  • Christina

Hi Isabella! Everyone is still well in my family! I hope everyone is safe and healthy as well!

    • Isabella Muse

I’m happy to hear it <3! Sending love and good vibes! We are well here thankfully! I hope it stays that way!

The county next to us has a shelter in place order, which means we are under a defacto one due to overlap, and the whole state is under a governor’s order.

I technically still have a job, but as I am under special employment circumstances due to disabilities, and I don’t need to work I gave my 12 hours a week to my co-workers.

Mom can luckily work from home because she is moderate risk.I am worried about my other family members as many are moderate/high risk or they work in the medical fields or grocery stores.

Best wishes to you and yours.

    • Isabella Muse

Where are you Sarah? Same here with NY. It’s fantastic that you did that I’m sure they are very grateful! I’ll be thinking of your family and sending good vibes. Same to you! Stay well and safe!

Fort Worth suburbs. The DFW metroplex is super interconnected so even people who don’t live in Dallas County often have family who do or they work in in it.

I used to live in SouthEast Florida. Annual hurricane preparations made us well experienced to face these conditions. Also grew up living around the world and learned various survival skills.

I heard several production facilities around the globe are re-tooling their craftsmanship to make masks, medical supplies, etc. Individuals can do the same.

There’s lots of anecdotal stories out there of our parents, grandparents and on-up who came out of situations with very useful experience. I tend to be a hermit as well so feeling an unusual sense of peace because there is no pressure to be a social butterfly.

    • Michelle

I still live in South East Florida. You’d think there was a hurricane with all the supplies bought up (still no toilet paper and other paper products, sanitizers, etc. to be found). I shudder to think if we still have this pandemic during hurricane season.

    • Isabella Muse

so far so good 🙂 same here thankfully! I’m glad to hear you’re ok! Stay that way 🙂

Thank you for your posts. It is a distraction from all that’s going on. I’ve been eating healthy and taking walks outside. Getting enough sleep also helps, although it’s been difficult at times.

    • Isabella Muse

Thank you for commenting on them! I’ve been working in my garden and def getting sleep as I never get enough of it normally so this is a good time to catch up and also, it keeps me healthy! A good 8 hour sleep is so important right now! Just take it slow, take time to do stuff you put off and always said you’d get too but never have time to do 🙂

  • Kish

Glad you’re well! Here…well it’s here. I’m still working, I work at a VA medical center, so no days off. I’m pretty concerned as I have rheumatoid arthritis and I was recently diagnosed with prednisone-induced diabetes. My immune system is garbage, putting it nicely. I’m going to work and coming home, that’s it. So far, so good.

Random: I don’t know if you remember this but you were saying how QVC ADs aren’t different anymore. Finally got mine and it was exactly the same as the initial purchase. I was like why do I need two of the same palette?? So returned!! Hahaha

  • genevieve

Hi Muse, good to hear that you are still OK and staying safe. It’s a pretty serious situation we have on our global hands at the moment, with everyone at home and in lockdown. It’s all very quiet here in Melbourne Aus. too. I hope everyone in the beauty community here stays safe and well.

Hanging out at home since beginning of March. My forays have been just for food & sanitizing supplies on LI, NY. Unfortunately in the midst of all this, the car needed 4 new tires, but better to be safe & not get stuck somewhere.
I’m honing more cooking skills. Trying some new recipes for us. Cumin spiced lamb meatballs & a souvlaki style chicken kabobs with homemade tzatziki sauce this week. On the weekend making my Mom’s marinara sauce recipe.

For fresh air, going into my backyard to prune our roses.
