About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

    Hi Isabella, from Melbourne Australia.
Our news is reporting that the virus is really awful in your city of NY. We read daily of the problems your state is facing accessing equipment and facilities and how seriously scary it is for you there. I hope you are safe and well, able to easily get your food and supplies.
Your governer seems to be very realistic about the situation and is working to fix the myriad problems associated with this terrible loss of life and illness.
At home, at least for now, both sides of our government are working together to combat this.
We are in total lockdown now and very few, only those exercising at a safe distance and getting food are allowed in the street.
I am remaining positive (and keeping myself amused) by seeing if I can use a different eye palette every day to create different eye looks. So far, I have used my Nakeds 1 & 2, Huda’s Smokey Obsessions and Wet n’ Wild’s Comfort Zone to create various neutral looks, as it is autumn here. I am using a different lipstick each day as well.

I hope all of your colleagues and friends are safe and well too. Take care, Genevieve.

Hi there. It is indeed! Yesterday was a tiny itty bit better. I’m fine thank you! I’m very very blessed with plenty of food and supplies. Thank you for caring! I truly appreciate that. Yes, Andrew is right on top of things. He’s blunt, to the point, addresses us daily, and he’s doing his best to get the PPE we need. Just keep positive about the situation and you’ll be fine 🙂 I’m glad to hear you finding joy in makeup right now! We all need to just enjoy the little things and hope for the very best while sending good vibes to those who aren’t as fortunate 🙁 I wish you safety and health!
