Summer is around the corner but as far as I’m concerned Memorial Day pretty much means the start of Summer has kicked off. Already the weather is starting to get warm here in Gotham with mid-80s all week long. Ok, sure, I did have the AC on yesterday and the heat on this morning but baby steps people.

Summer, of course, means new makeup! Considering makeup launches are done months and even years in advance I’m sure we’ll have plenty of new launches to drool over in the next few weeks.

Here’s 10 makeup picks to get you in the mood for the long Summer days ahead!

Sephora Trio Face Palette $15
I hauled a few of these stunners during the Sephora Rouge Event and don’t regret the purchase! One blush and two pigmented highlighters come together to give your cheeks the perfect Summer glow!

Ciate Dewy Blush $22
Dewy cheeks? Total check for Summer looks right? This new gel-balm blush give cheeks a glass-like sheen of color for the perfect natural flush.

Shiseido, where ya been? Feels like ages since we last talked! These new Shimmer Gel Lipglosses might tickle you if you like sheerer, reflective lipglosses with a pretty shimmery finish! Kurumi Beige looks like it’ll be very pretty on top of your favorite nude lipstick!

Hourglass Veil Eye Primer $28
Summer got your lids feeling a bit oily? Eyeshadow primer helps! Hourglass has a new one that promises to create a crease-free, smooth eyeshadow experience with their new Veil Eye Primer!

Shiseido Crystal Gel Lip Gloss $25
Honestly, wet lips are totally my thing year round but I do love a good glossy look for Summer. Shiseido’s new clear gloss is a hydrating formula that gives the illusion of fuller lips while providing a glass-like finish alone or over your favorite lipsticks.

INC.redible Three Love Lip, Cheek and Eye Tint Stick $12
When Summer hits who doesn’t love a good blush stick to swipe on and go? This sheer blush can be used for a natural flush on cheeks but you can also swipe it on eyes or lips for a quick flush of color on lids and lips!

Sephora Collection X Avasol Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 $18
Tinted Moisturizer is a must for lightweight Summer coverage! This new SPF from Sephora provides a hint of tint and a non-nano zinc formula that’s water-resistant with an SPF 30 to protect skin while hydrating and offering natural, lightweight, sheer coverage.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Hydrating Moisturizer SPF 45 $52
Speaking of SPFs this one from Peter Thomas Roth combines hydrating Hyaluronic Acid broad-spectrum SPF 45 that has a cream-to-water formula that provides moisturizing protection that isn’t heavy nor greasy!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
